1 AnswerPsychology1 decade agoAfrican-American term question?
It's been bugging me how all black people are called African American, even though they aren't from there.
Don't you have to have been born in Africa, then come to America to be considered that?
And would a white person who was born in Africa and came to the United States be called African-American or just white? =|
11 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoProtein intake and muscle gain?
I was wondering if I should use protein supplements to help in gaining muscle. I'm about 250 pounds and 6ft2 even. A lot of my weight is fat, but I do have SOME muscle lol.
A friend of mine told me only skinny people trying to bulk up would need a lot of extra protein. Anyone care to comment?
7 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoSprained my ankle, again?
About a few months ago I sprained my ankle playing with some of my friends, and after a few weeks the swelling went down and their was very little pain.
Me, being an idiot, was messing around out in the yard and ended up re-spraining it while it was in the process of healing from the first sprain. It's been almost 2 months I think, and I can still see a noticeable difference in the sizes of my left and right ankle. The ankle I sprained is twice the size of my other.
Could I have possibly done some damage to my ankle that my body can't fix on its own, or am I just worrying over nothing? I'd have figured the swelling would have went away quite a while ago seeing as how there's no pain.
1 AnswerInjuries1 decade agoSony Walkman usb cable?
I've been trying to find a charger for my sony walkman (nwz-e436f). It's actually been a little difficult to find one, and I was wondering if this usb cable actually charges it.
http://www.martgreat.com/sony-walkman-nwz-e436f-us...
The description says, "This USB 2.0 cable connects your Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F to your computer's USB port for efficient syncing and charging or to the USB Power Adapter for convenient charging from a wall outlet."

I'd just like to know what you all consider yourself and why. Any comments on how you believe the current administration is doing is welcomed also.
10 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoNearly blacked out, something to do with my blood pressure?
Well, I had recently gone to the doctor, and apparently my blood pressure was very high. 155 over 93 I believe. About 15 minutes ago, I jumped up to reset my computer and my vision got very dark and I nearly blacked out.
I went to check my blood pressure and it was 90 over 53 in my right arm. Does that have anything to do with me nearly blacking out?
Some other info would be that my bp has been around 130/80 for about the past 2 weeks and I'm a 17 year old male.

I was wondering if it was good for you? I mean, as good for you as regular boiled white tea.
3 AnswersNon-Alcoholic Drinks1 decade agoVerizon Wireless Text Question?
I was checking my online account, and it said I have 500 monthly allowance texts.
Does this mean I only have 500 free texts to other verizon users? Do I have to pay the .20 per text if I send one to a non-verizon user?
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoWeight loss/Muscle gain help?
I'm 17 (birthday was December 10th), 6ft2 or so and around 290 pounds.
I don't really eat as much as one would suspect I do, but I'm not very active at all. I have a place to jog and a 'CrossBow', which is a Bowflex ripoff I supose, but I find it hard to stick to something unless I have a routine.
Some other information is that I've been smoking for 3 years, and I drink a large amount of Diet Coke (really bad, I know).
Looking for help from you guys, links, whatever.
Thanks!
