How many grams of water can be vaporized at its normal boiling point using 20.35 kJ of heat?
I'm studying for a chemistry exam right now, and I keep getting 5 grams as the answer to this, but my study guide says that the answer is 9 grams. Could someone walk me through this? I don't understand why my answer is coming out wrong.
1 AnswerChemistry7 years agoWhere can you buy locally grown Christmas trees on Oahu?
My grandmother wants a real Christmas tree, one that looks and smells like one. I know about Helemano Farms, but all they have now are Norfolk pines, which aren't very Christmassy looking, and the grandmother has told me she absolutely doesn't want one. Is there anywhere on Oahu that sells locally grown trees that are not Norfolk pines?
3 AnswersHonolulu7 years agoStrawberry plant leaf edges turning brown?
About a month ago I bought and transplanted into my garden a strawberry plant. It's been growing very well, growing new leaves and sending out runners pretty frequently, but all the edges of the leaves are turning brown. I've been looking for answers on the Internet but so far have found no answers for what my plant is experiencing.
This picture is not of my plant, but my leaves look almost exactly the same, just not as much brown.

My strawberry is of an evergreen variety, and I live in Hawaii, so it's still quite warm right now, and it's the rainy season so some days we'll get quite a lot of rain and other days none at all. It's also in a box garden that's on concrete, not on soil, so it may not be getting enough nutrients or something. I don't know if any of these things might have an effect but it's there in case they might.
Any advice someone might have would be much appreciated!
3 AnswersBotany8 years agoComputer battery problems- won't charge.?
I have a brand new Toshiba Satellite C55- only bought it this past Sunday. Allowed it to charge completely before using it, no problems for a few days. Then yesterday, I noticed it only charged just past 40%. I had it plugged in all day yesterday, no change. No matter how long it's plugged in, it just stays at 41%, even though it says "plugged in, charging".
I've tried turning it off and removing the battery and holding down the power button (as I've seen on the internet), no change.
Any ideas?
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoBuilding a box garden?
I've just started a garden in some planters in my backyard, but I think I'd like to build a box garden so I can centralize it instead of having plants randomly distributed.
There's a concrete foundation where I'd like to put it, but I was worried about drainage; would it still be possible for water to filter out? Is there anything I could do to improve drainage?
4 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoAre there any Android apps that display text messages?
I have a problem with my phone in that sometimes, it won't show text messages I've received. I have an app that pops up any time I get a text, so I'll know I got one, but there will be no text in my messages.
Are there any apps I could install that would show all the text messages I've gotten?
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans8 years agoIs it possible to safely disable my display driver?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm not very techie.
Lately I've been having problems with my display driver (AMD Radeon HD 6570/5700). It crashes every 15-20 minutes and most of the time my laptop also crashes with it. But I currently need it for school and can't get it fixed right now, so I've been keeping it in safe mode.
Is there some way to safely disable the display driver so that I can run it normally, or would disabling it just cause more problems?
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoPre-ordering games from Amazon?
Trying to figure out people's experiences with it. I've heard of games coming early and games coming late. Do they generally ship before the game is out, on the date or after? Also did the shipping you chose affect when it came?

We have one day of park hopping, and one day one park. We plan on spending a full day at one, and about a half day at the other; which would you recommend for each and why?

7 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoCan horses drink sparkling apple cider?
Since tomorrow is Christmas I was thinking I would give my horse some as a treat. As far as I know sparkling cider is just apple juice with carbonation in it, but I am not completely sure if it is alright, so does anyone know?
16 AnswersHorses9 years agoI can't change my footers to be different in Microsoft Word?
Exactly what it says. The Google machine says all I have to do is unclick "link to previous", but it's grayed out and I can't click it.
Suggestions?

Exactly what it says. Just trying to gauge people's opinions.

So I walk into Solitude, and suddenly I can't run anymore, I just walk really slow everywhere. I'm not over-encumbered, I'm way below the weight limit. I've tried pressing sprint (I'm on PC), but I still walk. Wtf?
7 AnswersVideo & Online Games10 years agoDo you think I'll get into USC?
(University of So Cal USC)
I'm hoping to transfer to USC next fall. I had around a 3.9 weighted GPA in high school, was a member of National Honor Society, competed in my school's Academic Decathalon team my senior year, and took 7 APs, getting 4 5's and 3 4's. I volunteered at a physical therapy place from my junior year to sophomore year, and volunteered this past summer as a summer camp counselor.
I'm currently a college freshman, taking astronomy, Hawaiian, humanities, art history, and an honors writing class; based on how I'm doing right now, I'm probably gonna pull, at the very least, a 3.5 GPA this semester, and I plan on doing the same or better next semester. I'm a member of my school's Hawaiian club and in the honors program.
I plan on applying as a history major, which I've done very well in in high school, and on my AP's.
Do you think I've got a shot?
6 AnswersHigher Education (University +)10 years agoHow do I keep my elbows from locking?
So I've been riding for a while now, and usually I have pretty independent hands and arms, but I've begun jumping and with it I've got a hole host of problems I don't have when I'm just flatting, the worst of which being elbows that lock... so I'm wondering what I need to do to keep them soft and not horrible.

So I want to get some color streaks in my hair (colors, as in red, blue, purple, not normal hair colors), but I don't know what color I should get.
I have medium brown hair, with a reddish tint to it.
3 AnswersHair10 years agoDo you think I'll be able to run Skyrim?
With a AMD Radeon HD 6570M video card? Because from what I've looked at, you can't upgrade video cards in laptops (which I have). I really don't want to pre-order it if I'm not going to be able to play it.
1 AnswerPC10 years agoShould I get Skyrim on Steam or on a disc?
Is there anything I'd miss out on by getting it on Steam? And what exactly would be the advantage to pre-ordering it on Steam when it's all digital?
