  • this is for the reloaders out there?

if you were going to chose one powder to do all your rifle reloading which would it be.I have always used imr powder and have no experience with others.the cal will be 30- 06,308 270,30-30,22-250,and 223.the applications will be general hunting, with long range250 to 400 yrds with the 22-250.I know ill have to do some testing to find what my rifles like but im wanting to get some general ideas where to start. Also I like to generally use powders that come close to maxing out case capacity.mite be me but i think they are more accurate thanks guys

  • bullet trajectory's and flight path?

a friend and I was discussing trajectory's if two bullets have the same ballistics coefficient, and velocity's cal. etc and all other things being equal except weight ie.30 cal 165 gran.and a 30 cal 220 gran. will they hit at the same point of impact at any given range.I think they will because of the constant effect of gravity.

i have burnt alot of ammo in miliary and my fair share in civilian life,i ve always thought that the 308 and 7.62 nato are intechangable just different nominclature military vs civlian.and the same applys for the 5.56 and 223.read a posting the other day and the guy said there was just enough diverance that they would not interchange .ive shot both alot but never used military ammo in my personal weopon or vice a versa .have i been wrong all these years thinking that rounds were the same rounds just different names
