  • Swollen Lymph Node, aching joints? Suggestions on relief?

I have a swollen right lymph node under my jaw. I was feverish a couple days ago and my joints have been very, very painful. I usually don't take any pain medication, but have had to take it for the past week because it's just too painful anymore (I'm constantly up and down with my children). I also have recently gotten vitiligo within the last 5 months that seems to be spreading very slowly.

Just an infection for the lymph nodes or could the aching joints coincide with it to make it something more? Also, any suggestions on what to do with painful joints and flushing out my lymph node soon (aside from drinking a lot of water, of course). I'm only 28, I feel like I'm an elderly woman with them!

  • WIll I go back to Normal after Having the Babies?

I'm about 33 weeks along with twins. I'm exhausted- no energy, but find it difficult to sleep sometimes, too, I'm a little depressed because I'm on modified bed rest (I am very much an active person), my motivation has gone down, and am just generally feeling icky.

I'm less concerned about if things will return to normal 'downstairs' and more concerned that I'll get back to my normal, active, healthy, cheerful self. Do you ever return to yourself? I feel like I've been in this icky funk forever now!

  • Christians for Romney?

I find that a lot of 'Christians' are voting for Romney. It seems to me that Obama is much, much more in line with what Jesus preached. Can somebody explain to me the logic to me in this? (and please, no rude answers, this is an honest question, I'm not trying to be a d*ck).

  • 'No Adult Left Behind'?

When I try to have an adult conversation about politics on Facebook (I know, my mistake is right there, right?) why is it so hard for people to string together a coherent sentence with grammar that makes their points even understandable and or words that mean what they mean (their, they're, there, for example).

I call them out because I have difficulty understanding them and because I don't really want to argue points with a person who doesn't know how to even spell, but then I get called names as if we were on the playground at grammar school.

Is this an isolated frustration? I feel like bashing my head against the wall. This is mainly tea-baggers (though, I have to give them credit for taking their words to heart and not using government money, even if it's for education). I'm making an attempt to be educated on how they see things because I simply don't understand why they think the way they do and I figure if they think this way they must have a reason... but it seems like it's just ignorance as when I ask it's just the slew of unintelligible put-downs and finger-points and name-calling. I don't know if this is the same way with extreme left wingers, but it makes me almost feel like I should vote Democrat just out of spite (don't worry, I actually do vote for who I think is best for the U.S.). It makes me so frustrated I want to just start throwing ridiculous, unfounded insults back at them, too (again, I won't... I want to, but I wont).

What is it that makes them think shouting insults and calling names in such a manner that would make every person of average and above intelligence shudder will actually bring people over to their side?

  • Is Baby Modeling Ethical?

I'm expecting twin boys and thinking ahead.

Is getting babies into modeling/acting ethical? It would be nice for them to make some money while... sleeping or just being babies to store away for their future, but is it exploitation if they can't consent to it and say 'yay, I enjoy this!' or 'this is really dull, I don't want to do it'?

I have a friend who just signed her baby with an agent and they've really enjoyed booking a few commercials and shoots which got me to thinking about it.

What are your thoughts? If you're a grown baby actor/ model, how did it affect you? Are you happy your parents/guardians did it or not?

  • Why does my dog look over my head?

I have a 2 1/2 year old pit bull. I find often when I'm talking to her or petting her or we're just chilling and she's looking at me she looks over my head rather than at my face as though I have something on the top of my head. She's not trying to avoid eye contact, but it's almost as if she thinks I'm an inch taller and so she's focusing her gaze right above my head. She'll make eye contact at times or when I ask her to, was just curious as to why she sometimes looks over my head?

  • Chances of Identical Twins?

I know identical twins are suppose to be random, but my husband's father is an identical twin, my brothers are identical twins, and I have identical twin uncles. Could there be a chance of having identical twins or are those three sets completely coincidental?

  • Do Biological Parents want their adopted kids to find them?

Do biological parents want the children they gave away to find them or do they want them to stay away so they can continue the life they wanted to have prior to making the mistake of having the kid they gave away?

If the adopted kid finds them, how do they feel? How do they react? How was the child to them?

If you're a biological parent whose child found you, what's your story? The good and the bad?

  • Pre-Natal Pills, periods and discharge?

    Sorry if this is tmi...

I started pre-natal pills. I was wondering if anyone else had a disruption in their flow when they started? My period is about 10 days late and I have some tan discharge. I took a test a few days ago and was negative.

Is this shift pretty standard for taking pre-natals?

  • The Talk... What to say about Sex?

I'm going to be talking to my 14 year old sister and her friend tomorrow about sex. Neither have father figures and one of them is in constant need of a boyfriend (it seems like ones that aren't real winners, either), and they hang out with the stoner crowd (yeah, I get to talk drugs, too). I feel like I really failed my other little sister who's 22 and has had three kids already and gone through multiple rehabs. Does anyone, especially teenagers, have any pointers of what I should talk about to really help them?

  • Biological kids coming back?

Both my mother and me were adopted (my mother was adopted completely and my father adopted me). My mother's biological father and her hit it off, though it caused stress with her other, new, half-siblings. Her biological mother and her didn't develop much of a relationship before her bio. mother died. My own 'sperm donor' and I didn't get on at all even a little.

I was wondering what people who have given up (or ones that they didn't know about) their child thought about meeting their biological kids that they'd given up.
