What is the correct punctuation for these sentences?
Alright, don't judge my first draft ;) I'm just confused of what to put where I currently have periods. Should I leave it the way it is or change them to semicolons or commas? Having trouble with this paragraph. Any kind tips appreciated. Thanks!
"Like a lot of young girls, I once dreamed of becoming an actor. I dreamed of being the camera’s center of attention. I dreamed of walking down a red carpet only to later receive an award for my outstanding talent. I wanted to be seen on the ‘Big Screen’. I wanted to be famous."
1 AnswerHomework Help7 years agoHow many hours is a part-time job at sonic?
I had my first day of work at sonic today and my "interview" yesterday. The manager isn't the best at telling me whats going on. In fact, my interview consisted of my signing papers and getting my uniform. It wasn't a real interview.
Enough of that. I'm 17, home schooled, and this is my first job. Today went pretty well but I'm very tired. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep up with work and school and SLEEP :P
1) is working 7 to 3 normal for part time? or is that just training? Will I be working everyday? (he didn't give me a schedule or anything). working 48 hours does not seem like a part time job.
2) Can I have some tips for the drinks, slushies, limeades, malts, shakes, etc.? I sometimes mix them up but I think I'm doing okay so far since it was my first day.
3) I haven't working the switchboard yet but I've listened in and it seems hard to understand people. I'm kinda worried about that. any advise?
4) any other help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading my "book" of a question! :)
5 AnswersFood Service7 years agoI start my job at sonic tomorrow and have to have a form?
I went for an "interview" today (which was just me filling out forms and getting my shirt and hat) and start work tomorrow at 7. I'm 17 so I'm suppose to bring in a form to show I can work during school hours (I'm also home schooled) but I just found out I wont have the form for 3 days.
Can I just take a written letter from my teacher (aka: mom) tomorrow?
I really don't want to call or text the guy, he seemed very stressed and honestly, unhelpful. Would it seem bad to have my mom call as my teacher and all?
So will it be breaking the law without the form or what?
I appreciate the help! :D

2 AnswersCamcorders7 years agoNYU or what college would be better for what I want?
Right now i'm looking into a Film Director career (or producer, writer, editor, etc). I know it's good to really network with people and that NYU would help with that plus look good on a resume and such.
But would it be too much harder if I went to a lesser known college, like Lipscomb university, to major in film? or Pepperdine?
What other colleges do you recommend for an undergraduate director-wanna-be?
What is your opinion on NYU or California State University?
Thanks!! :)
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)7 years agocolleges and stuff about becoming a director?
I've been looking into everything about being a director lately. I've always had a passion for making movies, but not the acting part. I always wanted to have a hand in the writing, makeup and costumes, location, editing, production, and everything a director does. But Im terrified!
I'm in my junior year so I've started looking into colleges. I know to become a director you have to really get your foot in the door. Does that have anything to do with colleges? Would it be better for me to go to NYU or California or somewhere like that?
If not, I'm considering Lipscomb University. They recently started a film program. Is this a good idea?
If I major in, say, Film and Creative Design, what do I minor in?
What else do I need to know to make my dream a reality?
(and yes, I know the not so pleasant parts of the career too.)
Thank you soooo much :)
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)7 years agoWhich phone should I get?
Right now I have an Intensity II (yes a crappy little phone lol). I'm on verizon and want to get a newer phone. However, I need to get it used so that my family's plan doesn't change.
I've been looking at the IPhone 4s because it is smaller but also a pretty good phone. I've also looked at the IPhone 5, IPone 5s, and Galaxy s4.
I'd like a nice camera, 8 megapixels at the least. And pretty affordable, $300 or less preferably.
Which do you think would be a good choice from the ones I mentioned? Any I didn't mention?
Thanks!
3 AnswersCell Phones & Plans8 years agoBesides DNA searches, is there a way to find someone?
Say a person had amnesia and couldn't remember any of their past or anything about themselves. Besides DNA searches, how would you find out who they are, if they have family, where they're from, etc etc.
It's for a story, in case you were wondering :)
Thanks!!
6 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoHow would you do this if you were her?
I'm a beginner but I'm trying my best :)
I'm writing a script about someone who completely forgets who they are (like amnesia). They decide to try and find out who they were.
My question is: If you were this person, how would you find out who you were?
Thank you much! Sorry I can't give you more detail, don't want to spoil the show ;) lol
3 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoHow do you find out who someone is?
I'm writing a story and I thought it'd be good to have more details on this:
My characters need to find out who someone is. They have the person (including fingerprints and such... and no, not kidnapped lol) but not the person's name or anything else. How would they go about finding the history of this person? Finding out who this person was? Get a name? Find the parents? etc.
In crime shows you always see them running fingerprints; could they do that? What else could they do?
FYI, In the story, this person has completely wiped themselves from the internet, from pictures, etc., and disappeared.
Many thanks :)

1 AnswerBooks & Authors8 years agoProblems for my characters?
So I have two main characters (teenagers) in the screenplay I'm writing and I know what the overall plot/goal is but I'm having problems figuring out what each individual "side track problem" in the episodes could be. I've tried looking at tv shows I watch like Pretty Little Liars, Supernatural, White collar, etc etc. But obviously these three haven't been helpful (No bully girl, no creepy spirits, no crime fighting). So ideas would be appreciated! I'm at a loss lol :)
Thanks :)
1 AnswerBooks & Authors8 years agoName ideas for character?
Hi, I need name ideas for a character who gets amnesia. She's a teen and basically a guy names her because she can't remember her real name. It can be something like a nickname, like Barbie (although she may not be blonde so is this still good?); or maybe the guy calls her Roxanne because he is a Police fan (the band); If she were blonde he could call her Blondie. Just things like that :)
Thanks :)
4 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoTheme park and water tips?
So im going with my three best friends (one is my crush and he likes me too ;)) to Holiday world and splashin' safari (or whatever its called). I've got just about everything planned but tips would help.
I'm mostly concerned about the water park part for reasons
1) I want to wear makeup without it smearing lol
2) I hate and am self concieous about my swimsuit and would rather not wear it around my crush (the bottom is a pretty long skirt so I definitely stand out among the bikini girls)(not that my crush would mind, I just dont want to wear it)
3) I would rather stay with all the roller coasters and stuff, I think the water park would be a waste of time
But my friend said the water park is worth it and the other three may want to go to it. Any suggestions lol I know I'm a weirdo ;)
1 AnswerAmusement Parks8 years agoWould this be copywriting?
So I have a blog through Blogger.com and was wanting to do a post on the song Chloe by Emblem3. My question is, could I put the music video in the post or would that be copywriting?
Second question, would putting a picture from the video (i think its called a screen shot) be copywriting too?
I have a really hard time figuring out the copywrite rules lol. So while I'm on the subject, advise appreciated.
Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Internet8 years agoWhat exactly is Wattpad?
I know it's a place where you can post stories and read them but I'm a bit confused about it. I am writing a book at the moment and thought it'd be cool to post a chapter on there. But are you suppose to post the whole book? I don't want to do that, I plan on getting published and can't have a free version floating on a website. Just tell me more about Wattpad and what you do :)

2 AnswersFood Service8 years agoI applied for a job but now I have changes to the application?
I applied for a job at a clothing store about two months ago but the other day I saw they were still hiring for the morning shift. On my application I had some times I wouldn't be able to work but since then I'd be able to work every morning. Should I turn in a new application or just call the store to let them know? Or not bother with it at all?
I'm only 16, this would be my first job so I'm new to it all.
Thanks! :D
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoQuestion about resumes and job applications?
Hi, I'm looking for my first job but I'm confused about how to go about it. I'm only 16 (and my parents aren't much help lol)
As an example: If I were wanting to apply for a job at the theater would I just walk in there, ask for a job application, fill it out, and then hand it back to them? Or would I just mail/hand them a resume? or would I give them both? How do I go about all this?
Any other advise appreciated! :) Thanks.
