  • What are the automotive disclosure laws in Missouri?

I'm not talking about the lemon law that applies to manufacturers.

I know someone who bought a used vehicle from a private owner who explicitly stated that the vehicle was in sound mechanical condition. The vehicle turns out to have a rod knock that the previous owner hid with heavy oil. There is written evidence that the owner knew about this problem and hid it. What statutes would this be covered under? I need specifics here. Not just what what a website says or what you know personally. I need something I can actually look up in a law book.

I know there is an as is policy for most vehicles but since this was deliberate this is covered under fraud.

  • How can I move this truck?

So... i'm looking at a truck on hydros and something happened and now it's stuck on the ground. The guy is offering the truck for a song because he cannot move it and has lost interest.

The truck would obviously need to be trailered home because it's frame is on the ground now but even if I can't fix it I can easily part it out for 2x what I'd pay for it.

My question is how I can get the darn thing on a trailer. I need a link or two with examples of common hydro setups including hose diameter and on overall description of how things work.

If you've had this same problem please let me know how you handled it.

I'm thinking (with my limited knowledge of hydraulics) that if I disconnect the lines and relieve all pressure or vacuum from the cylinders that I can jack it up and use blocks to support it and get it on a trailer.

Lemme know if my idea is sound.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Where can I find a master key?

    I don't mean the shotgun.

My school uses BEST 6 pin barrels with a #12 master but I can't find anywhere to get a key or at least a template. Probably for good reasons.

  • How could I fight this speeding ticket?

I got a ticket for doing 64 in a 40 this evening. The road I was driving on was a back road and up until the officer initiated the traffic stop (turned on his lights) there wasn't a speed limit sign. The officer was going in an opposite direction and crested a hill and clocked me. When the officer turned his lights on I was about 500 feet from the first speed limit sign I'd seen since I'd been on the road.

So, I went back along the road and found that there was one speed limit sign but it had been run over in some sort of accident and was bent over and out of shape.

Point is, there was no readable sign 'til after the officer pulled me over and I didn't know what the limit was. Do you think I can think I can fight the ticket?

  • What are the changes with these resistors?

The link below is a diagram of a circuit.

    The problem is:

Using Kirchhoff's rules, determine the current through and voltage drop across each resistor in the accompanying figure.

An explanation or a tutorial would help along with an answer. I'd like to know how you work this.

    Thanks!

  • What are some respected colleges.?

I'm a senior already and am looking at all these college choices and am getting things in the mail left and right. I want to get my doctorate and become a professor somewhere but I want to make sure I get mine from a really good school. Only problem is I come from a small school and even with stellar grades I doubt any really good college wouldn't bat an eye at it.

But I don't want to live in this small town and go to the same little college twenty miles down the road as everyone else. I don't want to be STUCK like every single other person here. I want to go somewhere where I can build a really good career, get tenured and be able to become proficient.

My ACT scores are good and I'm taking it again in october but I just want to know some colleges that can give me those opportunities.

I'm not shooting for Harvard or anything but not that far off.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a painting of a canyon cutting two lands apart. The first is earth and the second is heaven. The canyon represents hell and a bunch of people fall into the canyon. And in the center there is a cross bridge spanning from heaven to earth. Anyone know what that painting is called?

  • I assaulted my third grade teacher...should they be prosecuted?

I want to know what everybody thinks about those third graders on the news...below is a letter i've written to CBS.

My name is Joshua. I do not know if this will be read or not but I can sure try. I am writing in regard to the story about the 3rd graders who plotted to assault their third grade teacher. I DID ASSULT MY THIRD GRADE TEACHER. I am not proud of it and seven years later I see it as a huge mistake.

It concerns me that many people want to see these children prosecuted and tried when all that will accomplish is more resistance and future violence. Coming from firsthand experience, these children need to be counseled to figure out what the real problem is. I was spared persecution, and instead was expelled for a year and a half and was seen by a counselor and then gradually re-introduced into the public school system. In the seven or so years since I have gone back to school and expect to graduate in 2010 on time.

  • wi-fi problems???

Many people have been in trouble for "accidentally" bootlegging unlocked wi-fi routers. Wther it's accidental or not what is your opinion on it. Should it be the owner's probelm that their wi-fi is leaking into pubic or someone else's property. Or is it the user's probelm because they shouldn't have been using it. If i'm at the a local shop, and my iPhone tells me there's an availbale network nearby that happens to be coming from an apartment upstairs is it illegal for me to use it even though i'm not on their property? This hasn't happened to me but i saw the news stories and decided to poll a community about it. I don't even have an iPhone to bootleg with it...

Have fun at it and maybe someone can find an answer.
