  • 1st time home buyers credit?

So if I buy a house before April I have heard I would qualify for the 1st time home buyers credit. Obviously it will be first home. My question is how do I get the credit if I have already filed taxes and received my return. Would I get it next year, or do I ammend my return?

  • How long does it take for a Hard Inquiry to not effect your Credit Score?

Back 2008 I had applied for several credit cards and a car loan. My Credit Report says I have a total of 10 Hard Inquiries which negatively effects my score - even though I'm at 698. How long until the inquiries made in 2008 no longer effect my score?

  • Need a higher Credit limit, any advice where to apply for a card?

I have a Capital One Mastercard with a $500 limit. My FICO score has finally started to build up. I'm at 698. I don't want to ask Capital for a credit limit increase, because i'm afraid they will lower it. My debt to income ratio is about 30%. I keep a revolving balance but I always keep my debt to 30%-35% of my credit limit. It's the only line of credit I have but I want to start building my credit faster so I can get a loan for a house come next year. Please advise.
