  • So why is it only girls that get punished for sex?

It seems like the pro-birth consensus here is that pregnancy is a girl's/woman's punishment for sex. Interesting attitude. But why should only the girls be punished? Not only do the boys *not* have to deal with getting their bodies ruined, having to quit school, and otherwise getting their lives completely disrupted etc, they are also off the hook for child support if the girl decides to give the baby away for adoption. Something which is pushed quite hard here.

    Nice double standard, isn't it?

So why are only girls/women punished and the boys/men not? Are you "moralists" really that loathing of women?

  • No PMS = no pregnancy symptoms?

Something just hit me. To those of you pregnant ladies with little to no pregnancy symptoms, are you also one who has mild periods? Meaning, little to no PMS, no cramps or cramps very rarely, and so on?

And vice versa. If you have really bad pregnancy symptoms, do you also have bad PMS and periods?

  • Is it difficult to obtain a home pregnancy test where you live?

As a followup to the "Should there be a 'Could I Be Pregnant?' section under Pregnancy?!" question.

Is it really difficult to go out and buy a home pregnancy test where you live? Are they sold at regular pharmacies? Other places? Are they expensive? Do you have to jump through hoops and hurdles to buy a test, or can you just select the one you want, go to the counter, pay for it, and go home and take the test?

I'm just trying to figure out why girls and women don't simply go out to wherever and buy the darn test. At least it was that simple for me; I suspected I was pregnant so I stopped by a pharmacy on the way home from work and took the test that evening.

  • loss of pregnancy symptoms at week 7?

I'm 7 weeks some days along an unplanned pregnancy; found out at the start of week 6. I had been getting some of the symptoms around week 4-5 - very sore nipples, frequent urination, fatigue, and that twinge in the uterus. But not much else - no morning sickness or anything.

The past few days the symptoms have really been subsiding, and today the nipples are only mildly sore and I'm still tired, but other than that, nothing else. Normal urination, no twinge, etc.

Is this normal? What I've found through searches is mixed information - "yes it's normal" to "you might miscarry" (I don't have any spotting or bleeding or cramps). I'm 39 going on 40, first pregnancy ever, so I'm a bit apprehensive and clueless to this whole thing.
