I was not in/on the lease. My mom was on the lease. She had a year lease, from april 10'-april 11. Lot's of issues happened while were there. Back in jan 11' we had the rent lowered from $950 to $850 so we would not move out because of the issues. Back in march 11' she said she would you our $950 security deposit for the last months rent. We ended up staying till Jun 30. Per the court of a payment of $850. Now she is suing me and my mother for $2000. for the 100 per month "back rent". two month back rent, plus court fees. Can she sue me even if i am not on the lease?? I live in Connecticut
