  • Can a 'Night Owl' ever really become a morning person?

I have never been able to get up early in the morning! It doesn't seem to matter what time I go to bed - whether I sleep 4 hours, the recommended 8, or even 12 - I just cannot resist hitting the snooze button over and over! I've tried setting multiple alarms, placing the alarm as far from my bed as possible, even having my boyfriend text me when he gets up, but I just can't break the habit and make myself get up early! Even the guilt in knowing I'm disturbing my whole family by letting my alarm go off every 10 minutes for sometimes hours doesn't get me out of bed!

I would like to be able to regulate my sleeping habits and be able to wake up and get ready without rushing every single morning - especially since I will be starting University in September! I want to start off on the right foot, and I really don't want to annoy my roommates the way I've annoyed my parents for years! Any suggestions on how I can break this horrible habit?

    Thanks!

  • How to keep animals out of my garden?

My flower garden doesn't seem to be doing so well at the moment! I think something has been getting into it, as the dirt and mulch is often uprooted near the plants, and it looks as though something has been chewing off the leaves! I found a toad in there one day, but I doubt if a toad could be eating my flowers! Or could it? If not I'm assuming it must be a rabbit, or some other small critter. Does anyone know what could be getting into my garden and how to keep it out??

I was thinking of pepper, because I know that helps to keep animals out of the garbage, but would that hurt my flowers? I would like something natural if possible.

  • What dosage of Omega 3 supplements is appropriate for young women?

I just purchased an Omega-3 supplement, made by Truly (I believe store brands are just as good as the original, and the bottle guarantees that the fish oils used are from Meg-3 Brand fish oil concentrate; which seems like a refutable company). I am now having a few concerns about the proper dosage, and whether or not I should be taking these in conjunction with an Omega 6 supplement?

I have been looking into taking Omega supplements because the health benefits seem to be vast, but in particular because I am worried about memory loss, and I am also bi-polar, which I have heard can also benefit from these fatty acids. Currently the only other medications I take are an anti-depressant called Effexor, and a multivitamin.

The bottle for these "Women's Health Premium Omega-3 Supplements" tell me that they contain 200mg EPA, 100 DHA, 25 GLA and 130 ALA. Is it reasonable, and beneficial to take one a day? The bottle suggests 2 pills 1-3 times a day (a wide range!?), for adults, however this seems like an awful lot to me, especially because I am built quite small, weighing around 110 pounds.

Thanks for listening! Any info or opinions would be appreciated, since there are so many conflicting studies and articles about these recently glorified supplements!
