How do Canadians measure laptop monitor size?
I'm American and I know Canada uses the metric system but I often wonder if that extends to computer measurements. I so often see ads with the measurements in inches it almost seems like a standard. So just wanted to find out for the record if Canada converts those to metric as well. Thanks!
5 AnswersMonitors9 years agoWhy would anyone ever use Verizon for cell service?
Is it just me or do they seem like the most unabashedly greedy jerks on the planet? Do they think people are stupid? I honestly think I'd go without a phone before buying anything from them.
My dilemma right now is should I go with Virgin Mobile and pay full price for an iPhone 4S ($650) with only 3G service, and a low $35/month for phone/text/data, or go with US Cellular (good in my area), get 4G LTE and Samsung Galaxy S3 ($199.99 after rebate) and $75/month phone/text/data. Love the idea of 4G LTE, but I'm not really a data hog and don't anticipate that would change, I use less than 1GB data per month right now with my Blackberry on AT&T.
Pricing it out, the Samsung Galaxy S3 would cost $2,000.00 over 24 months on US Cellular. Including the price of the phone. 2 year contract, locked in no matter what.
The iPhone would cost $1,280.00 over 18 months on Virgin Mobile. Includes the price of the phone. No contract with VM so I figure 18 months is a good break even point, the minimum amount of time I'd have to use the phone for it to make sense for me to buy it. I arrived at that number when comparing my cost if I were to just keep my current 3 year old Blackberry on it's existing AT&T plan for 18 months @ approx. $73/month. If I continue to use the iPhone longer that's additional savings, but I'm lured easily by improving technology and in 18 months who knows what capabilities phones will have.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off. 22 years later is it still relevant to high school age kids today?
