Like the title implies I am looking for a new camera from one of the above. I have checked out the fujis and canons about the same price but my choices have the best reviews on cnet and have a minimum of 12x optical zoom but I don't know which to buy. The TZ7 has a slightly better review than the TZ8 and cnet score the TZ10 higher but only because of it's extra features like GPS. The TZ9 is basically the TZ8 with a 3" screen. I want a 3" screen so I suppose this counts the TZ8 out. The TZ7 has a few bad reports on amazon with the screen breaking. Has anyone had this problem.

I bought my son the TZ65 (TZ6 with 3" screen) a few months back and it's a fantastic camera and want something equally as good therefore my choice of the other TZ's. Only thing is the samsungs are very tempting with their 15x optical zoom and excellent rating. What do you think. Has anyone out there got any of the above or tried more than one of the above.

I'm not too bothered about the price range as I can get the TZ7 from amazon at £188, TZ8 is £198, TZ9 is only available from currys group at £249 which is a bit dear, TZ10 amazon at £252. The WB600 is cheapest at dixons at £189 with WB650 at £218 from camera box unless you can advise cheaper. Not really interested in ebay as there are a lot of imports on there and I want a uk manufacturers guarantee. Thanks

Hi, I am looking at buying a camera for my 19 year old son. At present he is using a Pentax Optio V10 which is a nice slim camera with a 3" LCD screen. It takes great pictures outside but in low light it is not very fast and quite often the moment is gone. What do you suggest I buy that will perform well in low light and have a fast shutter speed. At the moment I have the Panasonic Lumix TZ6 at £149.99 from Comet at the top of my list followed by Samsung PL55. I have read all the reviews good and bad so please don't direct me to anymore. I would like your views of YOUR camera. I bought my daughter the Canon Ixus 90is which seemed pretty good but is no longer available.

Hi, I must have been one of the lucky ones and had my HTC Desire delivered this morning. Thanks to T Mobile and Royal Mail for the prompt delivery. What a phone, I am so pleased I got it. Everything is just perfect. Only had one little problem and that was getting my contacts from my old phone to this one (different network) but managed to bluetooth them across with all my pics and music. If you get one of these when you bluetooth it, it puts a little symbol in the top left of the screen. Put you finger on it until a bar appears and then drag the bar down. It then asks you to receive the file. Make sure you go back in there when file has completed download and select it. Doesn't tell you that in the instructions. Great great phone, don't hesitate if this is on your list. It does exactly what it says on the tin and the phone in real life looks a lot better than in the pictures. Well done HTC for designing a phone as good if not better than the iphone.

Ok, I thought I had this covered when trying to decide between the Samsung Jet and the Nokia 5800 but since asking that question and deciding on the Samsung I then saw the Nokia X6 on 02 for £15.00 a month, I now have seen the HTC Hero on T Mobile also for £15.00 per month. So now I got the Samsung Jet, Nokia X6, HTC Hero and can't decide. To make matters worse T mobile have also got the Samsung Galaxy for £15.00 per month. T Mobile seem to be offering a more flexible deal with free internet inc, 100 minutes and 100 texts whilst 02 is similar but NO free internet. What do you think. Has anyone got any of these phones or has friends who has them. My pick would be the HTC as it's compared a lot to the iphone which my son has and I love it. I tried a friend's HTC, different model, and liked the way it scrolled through the memory, a bit like my ipod touch which seems better than the samsung which is a bit fast. Only problem with the hero is I seen a few bad reports about the camera and it doesn't have a flash and the samsung jet and nokia do. Let me know what you think as I want to go shopping on saturday !!

I am not sure which phone to buy. I have just bought my wife the Samsung S5530 marvel which has a 5mp camera and wifi and I love it. As I don't want the same phone I have picked 2 others but can't decide which one. My preference is with 02 and the phone must be touch screen, wifi and have a decent camera. I am swayed towards the samsung but what do you think or do you have another option. My budget is £200 for PAYG or £15.00 per month on contract. I may push it a bit more for the Nokia X6. I am not interested in any contracts offering cashback by redemption. . Thanks

Hi, now we all know that fuel is on the increase and the companies who produce the oil must be making billions, not to mention our governments. Some say they are worried about it running out so putting the price up means they will just make more money in less time. Personally I can't cut down on my fuel I work 55 miles from my house so cannot get on a bus, even if one was available cannot go by train or car share

For years I remember when oil goes up so too does the price of petrol and diesel. Does anyone remember when diesel was actually less than petrol. Obviously at this time diesel was not as popular as petrol although lorries have always run on diesel, petrol cars used to be more popular. Here in the UK diesel is now 15p per litre more expensive than petrol. Why is this. Could it have something to do with the fact that diesel cars are on average 25% more fuel efficient and sales of new diesel cars are up to 30% more than petrol

Hi, am looking for a slim digital camera for my wife for her birthday. It has to be more of a feminine camera and easy to use as a point and shoot with good picture quality. Her present camera is a Practika DCZ5 which is ok but has a long delay after you press the shutter.

I bought my daughter a Nikon S200 for christmas which would be ideal if I could get one and need to buy it tomorrow, 29th.

My choices so far are Pentax Optio V10, Casio Exilem EXZ-15 and Olympus X-785. Does anyone recommend or not recommend any of these three or have another which has a good spec and is slim, no more than 23mm thick.

Hi, wonder if any of you out there had this problem. I have had this router for about 2 years now with no problems. Last night the wireless stopped working. We have 3 laptops in our household and none would connect. We could connect wired no problems so I accessed all the usual settings for the router and all were ok. Unplugged it, re-booted it, disabled my security, turned off my access control, deleted my mac filtering, re-booted it from when I last updated my firmware. ALL NO GOOD. Lights on front all flashing green.

Just about to buy another router when I thought I would try one last thing. I unplugged the aerial and all of our laptops connected to the router. Connected the aerial back on and it stops working. Strange.

Has anyone else had this 'aerial' problem and what was the cause. I have not added any other wireless G equipment in the house.

Hi, my son has just purchased a Macbook Pro which is an amazing machine and must say that after owning windows based machines for the last 10 yeasr the mac is far superior.

What I would like to know is what does the 'mac' stand for were apple macs or mac books are concerned. Was 'mac' the guy behind apple in the beginning like bill gates and microsoft.

Hi, I just bought 4gb of ram for my son for christmas for his acer laptop and now he tells me he is going to buy a macbook pro. What I would like to know is will the memory fit the macbook. The specifcation of the memory is the same for both machines at 200 pin, 1.8v, DDR2 667mhz, PC5300, yet on crucial's site it gives a different part number.

The spec for both machines is identical but will it fit.

Hi, hope you can help. When I put the aircon on it worked fine with heater control on 1, 2 and 3 but when I put it on position 4 it turns the aircon off. When I turned the control to 0 the aircon turns off, which is normal.

Now the blower only works on position 4 whether aircon is on or not. I know that this is probably the resistor but if I re-place the resistor will my aircon work on position 4.

Hi, we recently bought a toshiba laptop with vista home basic for my daughter. Nothing fancy, just something she can download music on and surf.

Problem is that when she is on the internet and scrolling a web page it minimizes on it's own. This happens when either scrolling down or just running the mouse across the the page.

Please don't tell me to turn the tapping facility off as this is a major feature that we all enjoy on our laptops.

I have never come across this problem before and question if it has something to do with the laptop or vista.

I have also noticed that if you are watching say a news video on msn when you scroll down the video scrolls down with the page and doesn't stay where it should.

Anyone else had these problems.

Hi, have just changed jobs and need a diesel car. As I wil be doing 25,000 miles a year I don't want to spend a lot as whatever I buy is going to de-value.

I have seen a 2002 52 plate mondeo with 80k on the clock, 1 company owner from new with full service history. I have also seen a 2002 51 plate laguna with 70k on the clock, 2 owners with full service history.

The laguna has a better spec with part leather seats, lots of gadgets, 17" alloy wheels, 6 speed gearbox etc and, being french, has very comfy seats. The mondeo is a lesser lx spec and is £400 more. Both cars are taxed and warranted .

My head is telling me I should buy the mondeo as it should be cheaper on parts but have seen that around this model some had flywheel problems and can be prone to being a bit smokey. Reports I have read on the laguna is that they can be prone to electrical problems.

Does anyone have either of these cars and when does cambelt need doing. Thanks

Hi, I have a large garden, approximately one third of an acre and it has a pre-cast concrete sectional garage approximately 6 metres wide x 8 metres long. With it being sectinal it can easily be dismantled and re-built.

The garage is sited 30 metres from the back of my house and on the boundary line at the right hand side and I wish to move it to the boundary line on the left hand side.

Planning permission was originally gained when the garage was erected some 20 years ago.

The reason I want to move it is it is on the wrong side of my property as my drive way is on the left. The surroundin trees are undermining the garage base and think it best to move it away from the trees. Both neighbours do not have any objections.

Do I need planning permission to move the garage.

Hi I have a Mira Sport 8.5kw shower which has been in for about 7 years. problem is that the water pressure when hot doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be. On cold it is ok so not a mains pressure problem. I tried replacing the shower head with a cheap one but it made it worse.

Does anyone think a replacement mira shower head will do the trick. Sureley if it was a scaling problem within the shower it would affect the cold pressure as well which is ok.

I have this theory that girls who keep themselves physically fit by going to the gym, working out, running, swimming etc enjoy a better sex life. The theory is healthy body, healthy mind, healthy sex life.
