  • Is joining the military, a good choice if interested in becoming a state police officer?

    I'm not definitive on which branch, but it would either be security forces or military police.

    Kinda wondering if it will give me a one up, in terms, on the competetion or not. Also, they would pay for the 2 years of school I'm going to take so I can receive at least an associate's in a law field.

    I know I'm 90% likely to get deployed overseas.

    I'm looking for opinions other than my family's, so I don't hear the usual, "No, you're an idiot, stay home."
