Finally a MRS.. 9-27-08!!

My daycare opened in Nov. and with all the start up costs and only having two kids the business took a loss. I used money from savings to pay for everything -- so there is no loans or anything. I'm not sure if I should check the at risk box or not at risk? Please help!

I'm currently getting audited by the state of MN and one of my old sub contractors is claiming they didn't receive their 1099 for 2007 and therefore they didn't file it. However, they did receive one for 2008 and did receive it then... they've talked to my auditor and now are threatening to sue me. Just wondering what could happen to me? Could they disallow this deduction?!

I'm 6 weeks pregnant, and went to the dr already. She went over what I should/shouldn't eat etc, but didn't say anything about Caffeine? I've been reading online that you can drink anywhere between 150-300mg and the studies only really show increased risk of miscarriage if you consume more than 300mg.. but I want personal experience from people. Do you guys still drink coffee (home brewed) and or diet soda? Also... I need my hair highlighted sooo bad! (it's been 4mo.) Is this safe? I've read highlighting is usually safe, but some say you should wait until the 2nd trimester. Any personal experience with this? Any help appreciated! Thanks!

i'm really worried about having an ectopic pregnancy. I had my first dr apt (to confirm I was pregnant) on Tuesday, which was 4 weeks 6 days.. and they confirmed it. I told them that I was having mild side aches (mostly on the right side) up by my ribs, kind of like you get when you are running, and pelvic pain. Both sides of my pelvis hurt, but more the right than the left. I've had pelvic pains before (when I wasn't pregnant), had an ultra-sound on my pelvis and a CT scan and nothing was found. I was told I might have scar tissue and sometimes when I ovulate it may hurt... which makes me even more worried now because scar tissue can cause ectopic pregnancies. The nurse I met with didn't seem to have any concern over what I was telling her, but I'm still worried. Anyone experience this before? Also I'm some-what over weight .. I don't know if that matters or not. Any advice is helpful. Thanks

My husband and I own a construction company and we use sub contractors. We do not take any taxes out of their checks .. I know you're supposed to file a 1099 (and have in the past), but do you have to? Is it a law, or are they also supposed to keep track so they can put it on their taxes when filing and the 1099 is just to confirm? Please help ..

I really want to buy my husband an mp3 player for his birthday (which i need to buy by tomorrow..his bday is Sunday). I have an ipod nano and like it, but was wondering if other brands are just as good... What is the best brand for the money? It doesn't have to do anything fancy.. just play songs (he does construction and listens to the radio all day long).

I'm doing place cards, but not assigned seating, so I want to put a bigger tent in the middle of all the place cards saying what they are there for.. Something about to take your place card put it where you want to sit, but you can choose where you want to go.. I just don't know how to word it and need help. Thanks!

And please no rude comments on not assigning seating, at my venue it's impossible because they don't have a set floor plan and can't give me the table configuration.

So there has been a change in plans. I recently was told we could not use the shuttle that the banquet hall had because another party was using it. Well they canceled it and now it's available. I made it pretty clear on the hotel information in the invitations there was no shuttle. But now that it's available I really would like to have it for people. How do I spread the word that it's there to use.. before people drive to the reception? I don't want to call everyone...

Can I use regular ribbon? or is their a special kind? My main concern is the ribbon turning colors from soaking up the oil...

I really don't like roses, and gerbera daises are hard to do as boutonnières because one they are too large, and two they cannot be done the night before due to the fact that they need water.

I really want to do my bouquets out of gerbera daises, and boutonnières/corsages with carnations...

Do you think they would look okay together? I'm not mixing the bouquets.. so it's not like they would be together.. but realistically my bouquet is going to be gerbera daises and my fiance's corsage will be a carnation.. any help appreciated. Thanks!

So... My MOH bought us shirts for my bachlorette party TOMORROW and she hates them. They won't refund her money (online) or exchange them... so I already went to Victoria's Secret and bought myself the Bride shirt.. but I want to buy/make her one too, so she'll be happy with it. Anyone have any cheap suggestions? Or know where I can get one? Joann's or Michaels would work..anything else? I won't see her until tomorrow so I'll have to buy a shirt and surprise her.. help!

We're doing a more family-oriented lunch/brunch with a gift opening and birthday party all mixed together the day after my wedding. In some of the invites for the rehearsal dinner (mom, dad, in laws, and MOH) I want to put a little insert that says they are also invited to come to this.. but I don't know how to word it. I don't want to make it sound like they are going to be sitting around watching me open gifts so I can gloat all I got.. I need something cute. Help Please!
