So here is the situation my wife gets a call today from a debt collector who claims we owe money from pet damages to the last apartment we lived in. To be honest I do not know how "damaged" it was at the end because only my roommates lived

There for the last 4 months (although I did pay for my rent during that time) as well as when ever we wet vacuumed the carpet no smell persisted(until another accident occured)

After having moved out I was not contacted at all by the landlord about additional money owed(they had all of my contact information from my application), never received a court summons(to be sued for debt) and had no idea that anything was wrong and then today my wife gets contacted(she was one of my roommates) and they told her they were l trying to contact me as well for this.
