Is Wendy's recent price increase in their Monterey Chicken sandwich a violation of false advertising?
Wendy's recently brought back their monterey ranch crispy chicken sandwich to the menu (possibly in select locations only). A quick search reveals most articles on the item as being writting in the middle of August of this year.

It's advertised as "only a buck buck," or 99 cents. I go through the drive-thru October 14 and it's $1.29.
Blatant case of false advertising? I'm not a lawyer, so help me out.
7 AnswersOther - US Dining Out8 years agoIs Obama withholding information that could potentially danger U.S. citizens?

^Some of the worst fear tactics you'll ever find. Why wait for another bridge collapse?
Obama claims 153 bridges are "structurally deficient" in North Carolina, a big reason why people need to help him pass the "jobs" bill. First of all, the 19,000 construction jobs he said will be created upon passage of this bill is ridiculous. No way that will happen - we saw with the first stimulus these "shovel-ready" jobs aren't there. Secondly, and more importantly, if there truly are 153 of these bridges that are in danger - WHY ARE THEY STILL OPEN?? Why doesn't he give us a list of these bridges? What do you think - fear tactics or are there actually 153 structurally deficient bridges? Why isn't the Department of Transportation fixing this or shutting these down if they know where these bridges are?
8 AnswersPolitics10 years agoIs Paul Krugman just another close-minded liberal?
Today, he said, "The public should want what I want (which is a large public investment program to create jobs), but it doesn't."
Is this man so arrogant that he throws to the side the will of a vast majority of the 300+ million people in this country?
15 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhy aren't we calling it the Harry Reid Downgrade? Or the Chamber of No?
Prior to the "debt deal," Harry Reid tabled two proposals passed in the House on the debt ceiling, refusing to even have a debate on them on the floor. His plan, which did not adhere to the outlines set forth by S&P of $4 trillion in cuts, or the widespread belief that for every $1 raised there should be at least $1 in cuts. Obviously, this plan never even made it out of the Senate - not even taken up for a vote.
The Senate has not passed a budget in 90 days, rejected Obama's budget 97-0, and rejected the House-passed budget for 2012.
With Collins and Snowe, I don't want to hear about needing a Republican to go along with them. They have had control since 2006, and it's been an absolute joke, especially since 2008.
So why are we only hearing about the "Tea Party downgrade" and the "party of no" rather than the "Harry Reid downgrade" and the "Chamber of No?"
11 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhy are Democrats claiming victory in new DHS ruling?

Democrats are now actively and knowingly not enforcing the law. No reason to try to pass the DREAM Act or amnesty or anything, just Homeland Security not to do their job.
8 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhat do you think about Obama calling for Assad to leave?
http://www.politico.com/politico44/perm/0811/the_t...
According to some reports, over 2,500 people have died in the protests in Syria. President Obama finally says it's time for Assad to leave. When do you think we'll see military action there as well?

Seems kind of odd, if we're going to allow a Congressional Black Caucus. I thought everything was supposed to be fair, right?
7 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhy are Democrats celebrating food stamps?
Democrats are praising food stamps as "stimulus" and "job creators." Going so far to say that for every $1 of food stamps spent, it generates $1.73 (I've also heard $5) in the economy.
A record 47 million Americans are on food stamps, that's 1 in 7. Is this something we should be celebrating and touting as a help to the economy? Does it even help the economy? How did we as a nation end up here where we celebrate 1 in 7 on food stamps?
13 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhy do Democrats insist on raising taxes?
Even if there was a 100% tax on millionaires and billionaires in the U.S., it still wouldn't cover the budget deficit. Depending on much income was earned, you'd still be left with $600-$700 billion left to cover the deficit. Even taking all the income from the top 10% only gets you to roughly $3.4 trillion on a $4 trillion+ budget.
Why do those on the far left seem to think so much of the deficit can be made up in higher taxes on the rich? The data simply isn't there to back them up. Why are these facts so difficult to find in the main stream media?

2 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhat do people have against the Tea Party?
I hear people say "Those teabaggers are nut jobs" or "They're so far right, they're radical." Some democrats just likened them to terrorists after the debt negotiations. What specifically do people have against those in the "Tea Party" movement?
