I'm a 19 year old male who loves to sing. And I want to make it a profession.

I've always been musically gifted and talented (I play lots of instruments by ear and remix music), but NEVER thought of singing.

Early in this year (2013) someone got me into singing and I found out that I'm pretty good at it.

And I found out that I actually love singing.

I just started singing in February, and people told me that I had potential and that I was "gifted."

I'm not the best singer, but I'm better then most people that claim they can sing.

I'm also a HUGE fan of X Factor and I was thinking about auditioning for season 4.

So my question is... can my voice be ready in time?

I have seen and heard that it takes years to sing well.

But I have also seen that it could take as less a year if you're serious about it.

Is this true?

I know that I've only been singing for 8 months now, but other people and myself have seen ALOT of progress in my vocal sound and skill.

I really want to be able to sing higher notes and perfect my virbrato like Boyz II Men, Ne-Yo, and maybe even Zayn Malik (1D).

And I really want to be able to make it far in the X Factor competition.

Will I reach my goal in time?

I REALLY want this.
