  • Playhead trouble in Final Cut Pro?

    Hey there,

Trying to edit together a sequence in time with some music in Final Cut Pro but it just so happens that the beat is between frame, and my playhead won't go there. It's ridiculous. I've used plenty of other video editing software and never have I come across this problem. Normally I could put the playhead where ever I want with other software. It's probably that something isn't selected in the options or something, I've looked and can't find anything. I want that playhead to be free roaming not autoing to frames or times.

    Thanks in advance

  • Best computer rig for editing video/VFX?

    Hey all.

So I'm going to be looking for a new computer rig soon for heavy video editing/VFX/Motion Graphics etc and I've narrowed it down towards the iMac and Mac Pro (Don't worry windows fans, I love either OS just as much as each other, it's just a preference for my line of work).

I've been looking and I know I'll need processing power and quite a bit of ram, is there any difference between the same specs in the mac pro vs the imac? What specs do you recommend?

    Thanks a bunch.

  • Which Canon lens should I buy?

I'm unsure what lens I should buy for my 5DMKII.. I'm tossing between a 50mm f1.4 (around $300 AU) or a 50mm f1.2 (Around $1500 AU). I'll be using it for video 90% of the time as I'm a filmmaker I suppose haha. The f1.2 was recommended to me as one of the best "All around" lenses. I want something that will work very well in low light and obviously out and about during the sunshine, and give off a professional look (And I also realize that depends on how you use it as well). I can afford either one, it's just a matter of choosing.

Which one should I go for? (Other recommendations for other lenses or lenses for specifics are welcome too!)

  • Adobe Creative Suite CS5 install help?

So last year when I was at uni, I got the Adobe Creative Suite CS5 student edition for my birthday. Nearly a year has gone and I didn't install it only because I was currently working on a project and I didn't want the install to screw with what I had done already. Just in case. Anyway, nearly a year on and I want to install the suite. Only problem is I am no longer a student since I graduated last year, and it says you need to have proof of being a "Current" student to get the serial code. Will I still be able to get the serial code?

  • Does the Zune HD/120 only play videos bought from the online marketplace?

Do videos have to be bought from the online marketplace to play on the Zune HD or Zune 120? Or can they play personal videos (Like Holidays etc) and other downloaded videos as well?
