I appreciate this is kind of a weird question, I'm doing it this way because I'm already doing like six workarounds.

I'm running a between-participant study with 2 IVs, each with 3 discrete levels, and one DV. I need a power rate of 0.8.

 Assuming a type one error rate of 0.05, what sample size do I need? 

TIA. I suck at stats so much.

Finding an expression for dy/dx, I got;

How would I go about doing this?

I know that to find the gradient of a tangent, you differentiate and equate to zero, but I can't solve for a wirh y floating around?

Then; the tangent to the curve at the point Q is parallel to the tangent at P. Find the coordinates of Q.

It's day 2 of my last year at school, so I have a lot of important exams and coursework. However, I am finding it impossible to focus.

I have been having problems focusing on anything lately, studying or not. I am exhausted, too exhausted to turn on my favourite video game. I slept through most of the summer. All I ever want to do is sleep. I have experienced a bereavement within the last year and my reason for living is gone. I also find daily life hard due to being trans, and dealing with anxiety. I have no goals or aspirations for the future to keep in mind as motivation while I study- there is nothing I want to do with my life.

Sometimes I am able to study for a while "going through the motions," but I can't sustain my attention long enough to get anything done. I dropped a subject last year, but it's only day two and I'm already so drained I just want to drop out of school. I am wasting an expensive education, and I am sure that I will fail my exams, not get into university, etc. Even this worry does not fuel me as it used to. It just makes me feel sad and distantly tired. University as a concept scares me as much as any other part of the future, and there is nothing I want to study, so the concept of getting onto a course I've picked out at random doesn't help either.

I have tried several therapists and counsellors, nothing seems to work, and I cannot be open with my GP about my mental health in case it affects my transition. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If not, is there an alternative phrase that means the same thing?

She wants a Crookshanks but won't spend the money so I wanted to get one for her as a birthday present... Only problem is she might not need the bathroom, so anyone have any ideas on how to distract her while I get one? Also, not while she's waiting for rides- she won't go without me.

They're having a party but they're not even playing music it's just constant yelling

The internet is not helpful it just says to play white noise but I need to turn it up to full to drown them out and that's too loud in and of itself

I have exams on Monday and I've been so tired all week and I'm just so frustrated

I could move rooms but I'm honestly just so exhausted and when I've tried that in the past I've never been able to sleep (I get restless in different parts of the house.)

My friend, who has anxiety and depression, self harms frequently.

Yesterday she made a post on her blog about how she'd "done a silly little thing and now the silly little thing won't stop bleeding." She mentioned her parents would kill her if they found out.

I told her to apply pressure, run under cold water, keep it elevated, etc.

Today, I woke up to see she'd made a post this morning, saying it still hadn't stopped bleeding.

I'm really scared it's going to get infected or be really serious.

The school counsellor knows, and I think her parents do too, but they don't care about her, and there's no chance she will go to them. I'm the only friend who knows.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Okay, I recently bred my cat with a ghost cat, and have acquired two adorable ghostly kittens of my own. My plan was to "make a living" for my Sim by putting up ghost pets for adoption and kachinging thrice for each ghost pet sent to a new home. However, when I hover over the "put pet up for adoption" button, it says that no pets are available for adoption? (Their earthly mother is pregnant again, so it makes sense for her, at least.)

What should I do? I don't want to kill them, and I know deleting them might cause problems in game (e.g. Taking up slots in my active household) or do kittens need to be a certain age before they can be sent to a shelter???
