My boyfriend of four years started dating when I was 18 and he was 23. He wanted me to remove my male friends esp my best guy friend & I didn't want to so I started lying about them. I usually befriended guys & not girls. I have 5 brothers. Nonetheless, he would get upset every time he found out & I would say I'll stop but never did because I didn't see the harm. He said he wanted my best friend and talking to other guys takes from the relationship. I never realized until recently.

Eventually, I stopped & 3 weeks ago I told him I liked someone else during our relationship. I wasn't in love. I just liked him & I was using it very very lightly. He felt betrayed & asked me why when he does everything for me. He also saw a text between a male friend & a year ago & started asking questions about him. I told him the truth that he wanted me to leave my boyfriend but I wouldn't. However, my bf claims I was doing most of the flirting.

About 3 weeks later after something small, he told me we needed to take a break & reevaluate our relationship. He says he loves me. He is hurt by the constant situations, frustrated & questions my love. I asked him should I tell his mom about the break or stop coming to the family church & he said no. He said I could tell my mom. He still wants to communicate but doesn't want to hang out. Texts are short. I tried to tell him I'm not doing it anymore but he didn't believe me. Help! He's the only man Ive ever loved and I dont want to be without him.
