I'm feeling "confessiony..."?
My best friend and I were discussing our silly "no-no's" we do as moms and I was curious what other's were. Here's mine:
1. I prop my son up with a bottle all the time so I can cook or clean in peace.
2. Sometimes I fantasize about my life before marriage and kids and really miss it.
3. My son has been sleeping on his tummy since five weeks. (He loves it).
4. Being at work is my favorite part of the day sometimes.
5. Whenever my husband's phone is laying around and he is upstairs or something, I look through it to see if he has said anything bad about me to his friends (even though I always talk s*** about him to mine).
HAHA what's yours?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby9 years agoWho on here is supportive of bottle and formula feeding?
I feel like I am the only one, when I know that there are others out there... I am tired of being attacked because I did not choose to breast feed my baby. Anyone else on the same page?
12 AnswersNewborn & Baby9 years agoWould there be a way to ease this?
This is going to sound very odd. I think I may have an anxiety disorder, but I can't be sure. I get very panicky at times, especially in the dark. I'm a grown woman, but I still can't stand up in the middle of a dark room. At night, even if it's only 6 in the evening, if it's dark outside I panic running to the house from my car. I don't like being in the shower at times because I get worried someone will get into my house and I will have no where to go. I don't see people or hear voices or anything wild like that, but I'm constantly afraid of getting hurt by others. I feel as though there could be someone around the corner of my car when I'm trying to unlock it. Is this something a doctor could help me with or should I try and put these silly fears aside on my own?
*I tell myself constantly that there is no one there and to calm down. I don't know if it's a combination of an overactive Imagination or hearing too many stories of the crazy people that are out there today, murdering people in their own homes.
4 AnswersMental Health9 years agoShould I email my old friend or not?
My friend and I had a HUGE falling out this past summer. I sold her a car and we had a big fight about it because she refused to pay me. She was supposed to pay me $1000.00 for the car, but her bank hadn't processed her deposit yet, so she couldn't give me the money. So I, like an idiot, let her take the car anyway and pay me when the deposit was approved. Then she asked for the title and I said I wasn't going to sign it over until her bank worked out the situation, but she could continue to drive the car. (Fair deal, right. Pretty sweet one for her!) But she flipped and refused to pay me and yadda yadda yadda it was a wild mess. We eventually worked things out with the car, with the help of a police officer and us yelling it out. (Oh girls...)
Anyways, this girl had been a friend of mine for a looooong time. Which makes me sad sometimes that we had this falling out. But then when I think of the situation and her (like typing it right now) it still makes me so angry! (She did a LOT of terrible things during this ordeal to me. This girl fights dirty and I never knew it, lol). She ended up emailing me a couple of weeks after everything died down and apologized for the way she acted about the car and for SOME of the horrible things she did while we were fighting. I accepted her apology then, so this isn't a matter of forgiveness. Just sometimes I miss our old friendship and have had the urge every now and then to write her an email. I get curious about her life and alot of things remind me of the good times we had. But I don't know if I should. Some of the things she did to me were almost UNforgivable and that makes me quesiton if I should even be bothering thinking of her every now and then...
Is this me just being a silly girl and ignore this, remembering there is a reason we aren't speaking anymore or should I go ahead and email her?
2 AnswersFriends9 years agoAm I realistic or mean?
I can't tell if society has just gotten softer or what the problem is... When I'm on yahoo answers or have discussions with other people about all kinds of situations I always find people think my answers are too harsh or my beliefs are too harsh. I feel like I am realistic about things.
I have no problem telling people the truth and telling people like it is. I feel parents aren't hard enough on their kids anymore. I'm tired of seeing parents who are too afraid to hurt their kids feelings and let their kids walk all over them. My mom was strict and hard on me and my brother, but I see now why she was. I'm a strong person and very independent. Maybe it's because alot of the people on here haven't grown up yet...
IDK... Is it wrong to be strict with your kids and honest with others about their problems? I've always found you get no where with being super kind to people about certain things and sometimes it takes a honest answer, whether it's what someone wants to hear or not.
13 AnswersParenting9 years agoPenn Foster Career School?
I am currently enrolled in Penn Foster Career School and working on my Veterinary Technician degree. I am still in the beginning at Introduction to Veterinary Technology. I love it alot. I feel like I'm learning the material, but I want to make sure I understand it! I'm wondering if there is anyone on here also enrolled in this program who would be willing to be study buddies? I will give you my email address if I hear back from anyone on here who is interested.
I'm a great study buddy, I just need a buddy! HAHA!
2 AnswersOther - Education9 years agoJudgements on Abortion?
I want to know why everyone here is so judgemental and agressive to women on this forum about abortion. As long as you know where you stand on it and what choice you would make for YOURSELF what does it matter what others do? If you are going to be advising people to do one thing or the other are you willing to be there to help them with whatever choice they make? NO. So, people should learn to not attack others. I feel bad for the women on here who come seeking kind advice or sound words and there are those on here who feel the need to yell at people and tell them they are horrible for wanting or having an abortion.
Now that I am an adult I don't see the need for me to ever get one and I don't think I would, but that is my choice and I stand behind the women who choose to get one or choose not to. You go girls and I am glad you know what is best for YOU.

6 AnswersPregnancy9 years agoTeenagers in pregnancy forum?
I am getting really really tired of the teenagers posting things on here. There should be an age limit before you can ask quesitons or make comments on the Pregnancy Section on here. I keep reading dumb questions that should have been answered in Sex Ed in middle school, but some of these people having sex on here are so young they havent even taken that class yet and it makes me so MAD. I come on here to read REAL pregnancy and parenting quesiton to seek the advice of adults. Does anyone else feel this way or am I crazy?
1 AnswerPregnancy9 years agoMy friend is driving me nuts!!?
I am not quite sure how to handle her situation. She is getting married and is driving me crazy about it. I don't want to be rude, but I don't know how to tell her to STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. I can't take it anymore. She just never talks about anything anymore other than getting married. It's kind of a joke anyway that she is getting married. She doesn't work and still lives at home even though she's an "adult" and her mother's paying for all of it. All of these factors are annoying enough, but I can't take the wedding talk anymore. I don't care about your colors, or your bridesmaids, or your registry, or your dress, or your diet or ANY OF IT. Sounds horrible, but has anyone else felt this way about weddings. Gosh when I got married it wasn't that big of a deal. It should just be a big deal for you and you're husband. You two are the people who matter in it, not how many people you can invite or how pretty you can make it or how much money you spend... am I the only one who feels this way about weddings?
