Enagaged & Loving It

I am planning a birthday party for my two daughters who will be turning 2 and 1. There will be a lot of adults and older children and 4 children under the age of 4. I am just looking for some ideas for finger foods, snacks, ect. for both the little ones and the adults.

i just put in a new battery,starter,spark plugs,plug wires,coil packs,alternator,and fuel injectors . now i cant drive it the message window shows the battery in red but i had the battery checked and they said it was good but just needed to be charged so bought a smart charger the charges it slow and once it was finished i put it back in my car. Same thing the battery light is still on no clue why fuses are all good now the car runs as long as i dont press the gas pedal . when i press the gas like to rev up the engine it spits and putters and wants to die then when i release the pedal its fine, does anyone know what this is or how to fix it ? thanks for all the help

i am starting a cleaning business with my fiance. we will be cleaning houses, apartments, rentals, and small businesses. we will offer regular cleanings & move-in/out cleanings. i just need to come up with a name for it.

Okay this is what I have so far. There will be around 40-70 guests. We are preparing the food ourselves with the help of some family. What else should I add for sides?What are some main meal ideas?

Veggie Trays--- celery, carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, green olives, black olives, pickles, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, yellow bell peppers, cherry tomatoes

~~~Idea---place dips in hollowed out bell peppers

Cheese & Cracker Trays--- ritz crackers, club crackers, swiss cheese, chedar cheese, monteray jack cheese, summer sausage

Salad/Baked Potato Bar

Pasta Salad

Rolls

Corn Bread

Drinks: Sodas, Waters, Juice (for the children) Sweet & Un-sweet tea

Dessert: Wedding Cake, Blackberry Cobbler, New York Cheese Cake

I want something that isn't to fancy and hard to make but nothing to simple (i.e. hot dogs and hamburgers).My family and I will be making the food for the reception. 40-70 guests.

Any suggestions would be great.

I know I am doing the following:

*fruit trays, veggie trays, & cheese & cracker trays.

So I have several options I am thinking about:

1. gray, pale pink, pale yellow

2. gray, yellow, turquoise

3. gray, pink, turquoise

4. turquoise, pink, and yellow

Since my fiance really doesn't care what the wedding colors are I am trying to figure out some options I like.

My wedding will be May 16, 2011. The ceremony will be out doors in a small garden, then the reception will be indoors. Ceremony will be around 5:30pm. I was thinking of doing a light pink, green, and chocolate. What do you think?

I have a small budget for my wedding and I was wondering if I really need to get response cards. I built my own wedding website and it has a form where you can respond on there with the number of guest's you are bringing.

Is it okay to use the online RSVP form instead of the paper ones? I plan to include the site and a phone number in case someone is unable to respond on line. What are you thoughs

I am on a tight budget for my wedding. I didn't want to rent dishes b/c of the cost and I didn't want to buy paper plates. I found this site with these plates and bowls and cups. Do you think they look too cheap? I can order samples so I know what they will look and feel like.

Also need some opinions on the tablecloths? I am doing 11 chocolate and 11 willow green each with hot pink table runners. I am buying instead of renting because it will actually be cheaper and they are the same quality ones like I would rent. To rent tablecloths and table runners will cost me over $440 for 22 tablecloths & 22 table runners. I can buy 22 table cloths and 22 runners for $279.40 all together.

Okay so my fiance and I spent all night last night looking at invitations. Our wedding will either be in April or May of 2011 and it's a garden theme.We will be adding ribbon in one of our colors to put around the invitation with an antique key tied to it. Our colors are actually apple green, pink, with accents of chocolate.

Most of the photographers I have talked to want to charge me $600 for 4 hours and only give me 30 pictures. Then others want to charge $1800 for just taking photos at the ceremony. Then you have people who really shouldn't call them selves photographers trying to charge you an arm and a leg.

Is anyone else having a hard time with this and left feeling like you are not getting your moneys worth?

I am trying to decide on whether to buy tablecloths for my reception or should I rent them. The kind that I have found to rent would cost me about $25.00 each. I found some to buy for $9.99 each. I know I would probably only use them once but I could sell them after I'm done.

What would you do?
