  • Abused dog how do I handle her nails?

    My husband and I rescued a dog recently, from a very abusive home. She was kept in a small cage all of the time and she scratched the cage, often until her paws bled. Now I don't know what to do with her nails to keep her healthy. The sensitive skin within he nails comes all of the way out to the end of her nail, I have had her a few weeks but the nails do not seem to be closing at the ends which is what I was hoping for. I don't want her nails to grow too long but if I cut them I will hurt her. Pleases help anyone!
