What are Polish men like?
I'm going to be traveling to Poland in the summer and am wondering what Polish men are like towards women? Like when I went to Spain, the men there were very forward and definitely not shy about approaching and talking to me and my friends, what should I expect in Poland?
7 AnswersPoland1 decade agoWhat is it like for a woman in the US Air Force?
I'm seriously considering joining as a cryptologic linguist (if anyone has taken/knows how that program is, please tell!) and I'm meeting with a recruiter this week, but seeing how he is a man, I can't really ask him for a woman's perspective.
How is the basic training? The treatment? What is daily life like?
Any other advice or information would be great!
4 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoWhat should my major be in college?
I'm a high school senior right now, and I'm really interested in foreign languages. All of my grandparents are from Poland and my mom speaks fluently. My heritage is something that I have always been proud of and passionate about, so that's definitely where my heart lies. I only know a little, and my dream would be to study it extensively and use it in my future career, but sadly I don't think it is a language that's in high demand. I'm currently in my fourth year of Spanish, and while I enjoy it overall I find it rather boring and common. My school only offered one year of German, which I enjoyed but don't think I could actually center my life around the language. So basically I'm wondering what would be a good language for me to study that I can either base a career around or apply along with a career successfully? (If there's any way I can fulfill my dream of studying Polish, please enlighten me!)
My next dilemma is that I really don't know what kind of career would be right for me. I love different cultures and traveling, but I absolutely despise politics which seems to be what a major in international studies centers around. I'm definitely a people person, and I love literature and writing, but I'm not really sure how to tie those things in with a language. If anyone has any suggestions for me, it would be immensely appreciated seeing how my school guidance is completely clueless and is absolutely no help to me.
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoIs a major in communications and Russian a good idea?
I'm a high school senior and have been stressing over picking a major for college. I really love Europe, specifically Eastern Europe due to my grandparents on both sides being from Poland. I really would love a career that allows me to either live in the states or abroad and involve a foreign language (I picked Russian because I'm thinking it has a somewhat larger market?), but seeing how my school guidance counselor is completely clueless regarding a career that would incorporate such things, I have been trying to figure everything out on my own. I just read how a communications major alone is basically an easy pass and very broad, but I haven't been able to find any feedback on whether or not pairing it with a foreign language is helpful or not. Any advice would be extremely appreciated.
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoWhy won't a disc play in my Samsung digital home theater?
When I insert the disc, the disc menu comes up fine, but once I press play this awful noise comes from the speakers and the picture is pixelated or doesn't show up at all. Every other disc I have tried works perfectly in my Samsung home theater, and the one I am trying to play works in my other DVD players.

I just bought tickets to see Pearl Jam on May 9th and seeing how I live in Wisconsin and have never been to Cleveland before, I was wondering how the venue is. My tickets are for section 4, row PP, seats 3 and 4.

Any Paramore fan will know that there recently was the opportunity to get their Tour Preview Pack including an acoustic version of one of their songs if you updated your twitter with their info. Now that I downloaded it I don't know how to get it into my Zune collection, or my Zune.
