  • Should the US Govt. emulate the Chinese Communist Party in managing the U.S.economy?

I've noticed the Chinese economy is more dynamic and growing at a better pace than the US. economy. I've also noticed that the Chinese economy has not thrown away its manufacturing base - but has - unlike the USA - actually expanded its manufacturing. In the the 1950's Chairman Mao declared 'We have now achieved state capitalism.' There seems to be a way of thinking now in China that capitalism can be really dynamic and modified so as to grow and fund socialist ideals too ie. a classless society, full employment, universal healthcare, and affordable access to higher education. Perhaps the Chinese Communist Party should take over the US govt, to improve the USA?

  • Would the USA have been better off if it lost the War of Independence?

I look at the CommonWealth ie. Britain, India, Canada and Australia - and I sometimes wonder if America<what is now the U.S.A. >would have been better off if it had remained part of the British Empire. For example, it would be indpendent just as India, Australia ,and Canada are today independent. It would likely have ended slavery more quickly without a war, and it would have likely been more restrictive in regard to Westward Expansion with less destruction to native american culture... Also the modern USA might be more peace loving, have universal health care and less poverty... Could it be that America would be better off if say that wicked old slave master plantation owner,George Washington was hanged as a traitor and the American colonies were allowed freedom to develop without slavery and ruthless westward expansion?

  • my kidney cancer/heart issue?

My clear cell kidney cancer has unfortunately spread to my bones<right humerus now has 4.5cm tumor>and I've just started radiation tx. on it. Also, there's been a sack/growth with a fluid texture that has shown up on my scans/mri on/around my heart. Reportedly it's a bit of a mystery and I'm told they are not quite sure what it is - but my oncologist will discuss it and everything with me in about one week. My blood pressure is okay, and i'm not having shortness of breath or irregular heart beats - but I'm of course concerned and wondering what this growth could be??? Most of the info. I've read just confuses me and leaves me with more questions. I've read that the fluid sac/growth could be cancer related but how so? Is it like a tumor or just a sac full of cancer cells? Or something else? I'm trying to better understand the process....of what's going on there.

I know I'm in a nasty stage and the cancer has been an aggressive g4 one ie. I had a 10.5 cm tumor/15cm mass removed with my right kidney about 6mos ago. I was hoping I'd be lucky - but it's back/metastatic...and my right arm is now weakened and very fragile. I'm very active and look well on the surface - but of course I'm a bit scared and expecting the worst hoping for the best or at least some some light...

As yet I'm not on any meds. yet other than pain meds, and now the radiation which has only a limited effect on rcc... The 'heart issue/growth' puzzles me... I've been told by my physician that it's not an embolism or embolic...

  • Will you keep me and my family in your prayers?

Some of you might recognize me from my zaney diverse - sometimes provacative - rants and postings... Some of you know I've been struggling with an advanced kidney cancer. Today I've been told the cancer has spread to my bones, and my humorous bone in my right arm looks rather nasty... I don't know how much longer I might have, but please - if just for a moment to my nameless self - say a prayer for me, and especially for my family. My best wishes to you all.

I like posting as a kind of outlet for my stress...I will say a prayer for you and yours tonight as well... Peace to you all..
