Purpose of Curb Chains on Bits?
I was wondering what, exactly, the curb chain is for? I saw another rider using a gag bit, where there was no shanks, but the curb chain is in place to be activated when the pressure is put on the bit. I've read conflicting responses on whether or not the curb chain affect the stopping of a horse - some say it helps, others say it takes away the whoa. For a bit without shanks, what is the purpose? Thanks!
8 AnswersHorses1 decade agoAcana Dog Food - Classic Series?
I was looking at Champion Petfoods' website, and noticed that in addition to their Grain-Free line that I frequently see in stores, they had a Classic Series posted. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Classic Series, which does have some grain in it. I have never seen it at the specialty foods stores where I buy my dog's food. Is it new? Do they sell it in the US, or is it exclusively a Canada product or something? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
3 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat classes are required for an EMT-I?
I have looked up information on becoming an EMT, and I noticed that there are generally three levels: EMT-B, EMT-I, and EMT-P. It seems as though certification for an EMT-B only requires one class that trains them for the state's EMT-B certification exam that allows them to practice the basic level of care. In my area, this is generally one 4 credit class at universities, or one 6-7 credit class at community colleges. I was wondering what additional classes would be necessary for certification to EMT-I? Generally how many are there? Are there also additional requirements to receive that certification? Thanks for your time.
