(This is hypothetical and for a friend; but, no one will believe that so I am writing in first person). A guy and I were dating but not exclusively. He told me he really wanted to be with me; then, started exclusively dating another girl. He tells me he has nothing in common with her, he doesn't like her, and he really wants to be with me. I can tell that he treats me better than her... in theory. But in reality, how well does he treat me if he has another girlfriend? He stays with me several nights a week and she knows this (thinks we're just friends). I feel like "the other woman" but he keeps telling me he's about to break up with her. I know it's a lie. Please help me to get enough esteem about myself to finally leave him.

I plan to minor in communication studies and Spanish. I also have an Associates in sociology. Is this employable? I would like to do grant writing and be a finance or fund-raising manager for a non-profit or otherwise social-service related company. (i am currently a preschool assistant teacher). Will i likely find a job?

I am in my last semester of my A.S. in Sociology. I am planning to transfer and get my bachelors. I want to study something enjoyable, do something I am good at, and yet still be employable. I currently teach preschool, but I prefer to work in child/human/social services, education/urban planning. Will a major in Sociology (B.A.) and a minor in Economics get me there. I truly believe that I may have bipolar 2 or cyclothymia. I sometimes feel on top of the world for days, or even weeks at a time. But even when I think Im going to feel great forever, it seems like I always eventually fall back into my depression. I hate myself, my life, and wish I were dead. I have even been somewhat self-destructive. The problem is: im afraid to get help! When im depressed i feel like no one can help me, and when i feel amazing, i fear the doctor will put me on medication that stabilizes me and causes me to no longer feel great (just normal.) What should I do???

I want to get a MS in Public Health. Should i get my A.S. in Sociology or Psychology? Will it broaden my field of employability by having a psychology AS or should i get an AS in sociology since that is what im getting a BS in?? Please help me

Is it possible/realistic to work as a technician or technologist in this field if you prefer to not work in a blood bank? Do biology or other life science major's often get into this field easily with on the job training? Is there a great chance for flexible hours? Thanks to anyone who knows about this field. :)

Did the people of Haiti have a warning that this earthquake was coming or was this a complete shock? I understand that even with warning many may not have had the resources to leave, but i was just wondering if there was any idea that a substancial earthquake was coming. Also, what are any thoughts regarding this country's devestation.

or, will chemistry 1111 and 1112 need to be taken? my school doesnt offer Chem 1111 or 1112 and i want to know if and when i would need to transfer in order to prepare myself for the organic chemistry class that i will eventually need to take. thanks for any help!!

I feel that it is a way to describe people, not a way to label them. I woulnd't be offended if someone stated that I was black, I would only be upset if they thought I must be from a certain country or act a certain way because of it.
