  • OBGYN denying care because of skipping appointments?

I recently moved to a different location across town and contacted another OBGYN clinic affliated with the previous one when I moved. After trying to get my records sent they finally were. I had skipped a few appointments with the old clinic because initially they never called me to confirm the appointment dates and didnt really care. Three months has passed and now I have found out the current OBGYN wont take me because of the skipped visits. I wasn't considered high risk pregnancy prior to three months ago but since I have skipped the visits I suddenly now am and they are denying me health care? Im 28 years old, healthy and have no family history of compliactions or anything. Please give me some advice on who I can turn to as I don't really want to deliver my baby 1. in my own home with no support or 2. at a clinic that I dont have faith in and would have to travel 2 hrs to get to.

  • What to do in a car accident where at fault now denies?

Me and my husband were in a car accident where the other driver was at fault and backed into us in a parking lot. He admitted at the time it was his fault and we took down all his details etc. We did not file a police report because the damage was under $500 and no one was hurt.

I keep calling his insurance company and the guy wont return their calls. I called the driver today and now he acts shifty and denies it being his phone number, even changing his story.

I called the police today and they said it is too late to file a report. What is the best thing I can do? I'm insured under my inlaws policy and they don't want me filing a report with them because their premiums will then go up.

  • Electric Piano brain boggle?

I have a Roland Electric Piano Plus 450 that takes an Australian current/wattage(????) that takes "AC 240 Volt". I am now in the USA!! I know that USA wall sockets are "DC current". How do I make my piano work?

I plugged in a plain socket converter and powered it up but I don't think there is enough electricity flowing through it to make it work as the buttons just faintly flash. I haven't the first clue on electronics. Please help me, what do I need to make this work?

  • Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act?

November 27, 2006 the U.S brought an animal enterprise terrorism law into effect.

In summary it is supposed to curb the enthusiasm of animal rights activists who commit acts of vandalism, property damage, economic damage etc to pet shops, experimentation labs, mass breeding facilities or any other 'animal enterprise'.

My question is is this a good or bad thing and why do they need to write up and pass laws like this? Aren't the current vandalism and bodily harm/assult laws good enough?

Here is the full law: http://www.animallaw.info/statutes/stusfd2006_s_38...
