i am a 40 year old white middle class male. married with one child.to be honest i am here for one reason to support ron paul. don't fault me for that for i will not fault you for your choice of candidate as long as you are well informed on them and the issues. if someone else is voted in and it is through a well informed vote,i have no problems. i will defend your points as well as mine from people who are ill-informed and or use race, gender,or any other bull to platform their question or answer as i have tried to learn where all the candidates stand. i will try to always answer with class and give good information but can throw dirt as well as anyone else when provoked so don't get offended .hope to open a few eyes and convert a few people while i am here , might even pick up a fan or two. and for those who decide they can't stand me, you only have to put up with me till nov. feel free to email me on any issue will give you my best answer.. thanks for reading

  • should social security be taken private ? is this one of your issues when voting?

this is my take.. social security is a good idea in theory and anyone who is willing to take it private must have a plan to make sure people already dependent on it or that will be within the next 10 years is taken care of..and give compensation to people who have paid into it..now my main reason it should be private.. you pay in untold amounts for 30,40,50 years..you die just prior to retiring or right after retirement...all of this money is now gone..if you have paid in 100,000 it is just sucked up by the government.. i personally would like to have that for my family if i pass on.

  • where doe this come in on your list of issues?

freedoms according to our bill of rights..your 1st,2nd,and10th ammendments are improvised almost daily in some fashion along with many of the others. ex. of each..you can't say that, its not politically correct...you should not have that sort of gun, does not matter that it won't stop criminals from having them... 10th is violated the most..everytime the fed government enacts laws for the whole country this is violated..abortion,gay marrage ..use these because they are hot topics, but even if you agree on these being banned... which i do, many states populations belive the opposite. thats why the constitution is written as it is..to give people who think differently to have a voice and to promote free thinking among the states..I know this pegged me as a ron paul supporter, but seriously where is this on your issue list..near the top of mine,

  • does anyone know what embedded tax is and how it works?

this is the main way corporations don't end up loosing profit when taxes are raised on them being through corporate taxes or import taxes.this is why the so called tax the rich corporations plan won't work. does anyone know how it works... ron paul supporters you are not allowed to answer.. just kidding but i do know one of you will have the correct answer..thought i should censor you for the betterment of the country ha

  • do you realize how much you work just to pay your taxes?

simple formula with random nos.but should be accurate. everyone should have their w2 on hand right now so try this. my date was april 18.. now how can we keep electing people who want to keep spending on wars and welfare programs. and when i say welfare i mean for the greedy..some really do need help. i don't mind this. ok say you make 55,000 divide that by 365 [days in the yr] that = $150 that is your salary per day[easier to do it this way than by week] ok add up the taxes you pay in .typical for this amount would be $9000 fed $3000 state $3000 fica[social security, medicare] thats $15000. now divide that by the $150 you get 100. that is the no of days you work to pay your taxes. that means that this person worked till april 10th to pay their taxes for the year.. that also translates that a person paying this rate for 50 working yrs say 18-68 will work 11.25 yrs of their life just to pay their taxes..what a depressing no/ what do you think

  • for paul supporters only. are we that much smarter than the rest.?

really just wanted to take a minute to give us all a pat on the back and tick off the rest of these clowns. is it not so funny how when you ask a question about one of their candidates compared to ours they have no clue how to answer. all you get is obama for change, clinton08, romney is a true consevative and so on. or they will just refuse to answer all together. while we are here though does anyone but me see him setting up for an independent run. don't see any other reason he would be recruiting precinct leaders all over the country even in the states that have already held their primaries. and for all you others who are going to jump in bashing go to page 18,19 answer the ? on where your candidate stands.. never mind you have no idea thats why no one answered.

  • does the price of gas bother you?

economics 101 why we need the gold standard..argue if you will and bash me because you can,but please read. oil is higher today because the dollar is worth less. 40 percent decline in five years. what does this mean, simple you can buy 40% less oil for the same dollar. gold is the same. the dollars decrease is in line with their increase plus the added price for the speculation the dollar will fall more. if the fed made it a point to make the dollar more valuble these prices would come back down. the value of the dollar affects the price of everything you buy. think about this. 20 years ago the yen was worth nothing compared to the dollar.thats why their cars were cheaper..the dollar bought more in japan. now with the yen close to the dollar it is cheaper for them to build the cars here because their economy is stonger than ours. in fact how many things are labeled made in japan anymore..think about it.the value of the dollar is a very important economic issue http://www.ronpaul2008/

  • do you know where your canidate stands on the issues?

this ? comes with a challenge. go to my candidates website http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ pick one issue and tell me why he is wrong and why your candidate is right. elaborate on the subject. convince me. after all most of you think he doe not stand a chance so sway my vote to your candidate when mine drops out. if your really confident post a ? about your candidate with the same format, give me a chance to convince you. note to all you one phrase wonders out there. this is a grown up question please stay out of it.and try not to show your 2 digit iqs a few of us on here do take the election seriously..i will award best answer based on information given regardless of how much i agree or disagree. just thought it would be different to hear from some informed people for a change

  • where will your vote go if your candidate fails to win the primary?looking for dems on this one?

if clinton fails to get the nomination, which it looks very possible, and edwards is already basically done, how many of you would consider ron paul if he makes a independent run which i think he will. obama fans same for you if just by chance if he fails. asking this because i know several dems who already support him

  • does the media really want to influence your vote? why?

something to think about, and not just because i support ron paul. why do they push clinton and obama. alot of the other dems have much better ideas for the country. well the facts are clinton would be first woman prez, obama first black. that gives them plenty to report on so they have plenty of news. on rep side, you end the wars what would they do with all the reporters they have covering it. they do what is in their best interest, no one wants to read about a country that is being run smoothly and a government not entangled in wars and scandels. my advice to everyone is to look hard at the issues we are faced and don't jump on these media driven bandwagons. if you take a close look at the candidates on both sides getting the least media attention they are probably closer on your views and are probably the most honest, but if elected they will be the least newsworthy. think about it they are looking after their well being and their ratings not what is best for america

  • what does this tell you about the candidates.?

read this article, see where the money comes from. you will notice about 2 names missing.. ron paul and huck. huck is broke now due to his supporters not contributing. ron can ride it all the way to the end and can run as an independent if he would like. $100 dollars at a time from the american people, thats his average contribution from his supporters, almost 3.5 million this month. this tell me a couple things. the rest of them will be paying back their contributors with favors. politics as usual with the american people getting the shaft. second apparently 2 men are on the up and up, one is broke now. people take a good look at ron, he has never took a kickback and that is why big business is keeping him out of the picture . they know their free reign of our political system will be over if paul is elected.. think about it http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120104691831808117...

  • ok i got to ask this. has anyone truly researched their candidate?

know i will get allot of ron paul answers because reading other posts they truly have.most give a list of his views. the rest of you i'm not too sure about,no one is going past 1 on what their candidate is about. this election is important people i've looked at everyone who is running front runner or not rep and dem. don't you think you owe it to yourselves to know, heck i could run promise everyone something grand, not tell them the fallout get a couple media giants to back me and ride it to the white house.so tell me america where does you candidate stand. to me any one stance answer our my canident is best will save the world just shows your ignorence someone show me that they truly care about their vote.at least i know mine will count to myself.

  • think i know what is hurting ron paul on getting his message out. tell me what you think?

ron has a great platform with mostly good ideas that most traditional reps would agree with. no one agrees 100% with any candidate. i think the biggest fault is the way he communicates it. he is a doctor so he just puts everything bluntly, no dress up.doctors don't say "joe i really hate to tell you this, but things dont look good, you probably need to start spending more time with your family, get your finacials straight, and so on and so on", nope you for the most part get "joe from what i see you got about 6 months. I like the blunt approach but i fell america likes to hear everything with a little sugar coating. sincerely think about it before you answer. thanks

  • what do you think about ron paul skipping campaigning today so he could vote no on the gas tax propasal?

thats right he's in the middle of a presidential campaign, yet he is still showing up for work to vote no against a federal gas tax that could raise the price of gas another 30 to 40 cents over the next few years. only 8 others voted no with him.people this should tell you something, other politicians need hardly any excuse at all to be absent from their job,yet on the day of the michigan primary he's at work for america instead of campaigning. what does this say for his character?

  • why is ron paul considered insane and unelectable?

has anyone actually researched the canidates or are they just going by what the media is saying. mr paul's economic views are inline with economist's views all over the world. if you go to lewrockwell.com and read some of the things he has written over the last 10 years he has correctly predicted where our economy is today including the housing bubble which he introduced legislation to correct in 2003.just looking for input, think i must be missing something. one last comment though, I read awhile back that if 50% of the people voted for a man they liked instead of saying I don't want to waste my vote it would change the election outcome dramatically. I would like comments on this as I cant seem to find this article now.
