Crank position sensor wiring?
I have a 91 ranger. Changed the CPS, it has 2 plugs the 4 wire plug goes to the CPU, the DIS module, and coils. The other wire is not shown in the schematic. On the engine side the connector broke off. There is a ltgrn w/yel and an uncoated wire. neither wire is in the schematic. I need to know which one to hook up.

I have a 91 Ranger 2.3L dual coil system. 1 coil was dead, the other weak, & the tach didn't work. I switched the known good coil with the bad one and put a new one where the good one was then only the new one worked. I switched out the module now both coils fire a good bright spark & the tach works. At 3200 RPM the ignition cuts in & out, & if I keep my foot in it, I lose ignition completely. It also loses spark intermitantly going down the road and comes right back. I suspected a defective new module and replaced it and still have the same problem
