How do I turn on the screen saver on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3?
When I put my phone in my pocket i almost immediately accidentally press some button that stops my music from playing. I am listening to audiobooks on youtube and the screen saver has not turned on for several minutes now. If i put my phone in my pocket and start moving around it'll inevitably pause the audio or exit out of the current app. This is my first smart phone, if you can't tell already. Any help is greatly appreciated.
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans7 years agoIs there an original version of Royals by Lorde? Where?
I see (US Version) on the youtube video that shows up first. I was wondering if anyone knew where the original version is if there is one? I searched. I wonder if the changes in the US version are so minor it'd be hard to tell. I know they re did Gotye's Somebody that I Used to Know and it didn't really change much. And then there was La Roux with BulletProof that remix didn't change much from the original either. So anyone ever hear the original Royals ?
5 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoIs it legal to connect 3 wires with one wire nut?
I'm converting my fluorescent light fixtures over to LED light fixtures and the replacement part for the ballast only puts out enough juice to power 1 light. I have purchased 2 LED replacement bulbs and so I have 2 power adapters (ballast replacement part). I can connect both power adapters to the house power but then I'd have 3 wires being connected with 1 wire nut. Would this method be up to code? I feel like it would be perfectly safe to do it but what does the electrical code say about it? I'm in Ohio if it makes a difference.
Thanks in advance.

1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoDo hard drives produce 3 phase alternating current?
I've been messing with some hard drives trying to generate electricity. There must be some permanent magnets inside every hard drive because when i hook any one of them up to a multi meter you get a little bit of voltage when i spin the hard drive spindle by hand.
But I wonder if that is the same thing as 3 phase alternating current? I mean there are 4 connections on the motor of most hard drives and on one hard drive there were only 3 that i could find. If i connect my meter to 2 of the 3 leads that aren't the ground i get twice the voltage that i get when i connect one of the non ground leads to ground. So are these hard drives producing 3 phase alternating current or is this something unique to hard drives? Thanks.
3 AnswersEngineering8 years agoWhere can I go to read the Fiscal Cliff bill?
I have read there is a lot of pork in the bill that Congress has passed to avoid the fiscal cliff. What I have read is not very specific so I was wondering if there is a website where you can read the bills that Congress passes? Thank you.
3 AnswersCivic Participation8 years agoI'd like to weld 1/8" aluminum together what is the cheapest way?
I would like to get into welding. I have some square aluminum tubing that is an eight of an inch thick and I'd like to join 2 pieces together. Tig welders seem incredibly expensive and I've had no luck using Alumiweld and a propane torch. I'd prefer to spend less than 500 bucks but I'm not sure it's possible. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
1 AnswerEngineering8 years agoWhat high hat did Sublime use for Santeria?
I'm looking to buy a high hat and I really like the high hat sound in Santeria by Sublime. I've searched the internet but am unable to find this info. I see in a live performance by Sublime the high hat had no marking and it looked quite large for a high hat. Anyone know what brand of high hat that is? Thank you.
1 AnswerRock and Pop8 years agoWhy are most water valves multi turn valves?
I prefer those ball valves that only require you to rotate the handle 90 degrees to turn it on or shut it off. Why do I see those multi turn valves on toilets and under sinks every time? Is there a good reason or am I just looking at decades old construction? Thanks.
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)9 years agoWhy would my jumper cables spark when I connect the negative terminal to my friends negative?
Today I gave my friend a jump since his battery had died and it seemed strange that when connecting 2 batteries in parallel there was a spark produced when we connected the last jumper cable. I know we connected the red to red and black to black. My battery was at 14 volts most likely and I cannot imagine his battery was too far below 12 volts (idk though). I have read online you need thousands of volts for a spark to jump a 1 cm gap. So what gives? How could just a few volts of difference produce such a large spark? Thank you.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoWho invented the first single piston hot air engine?
I like stirling engines but there's an engine with just one piston called a Lag engine or thermo acoustic engine. Sometimes these engines are referred to as Lamina flow engines. I was wondering if anyone knew when this was invented? I don't understand patents too well but I found this patent that was issued in the 1990s :
http://www.google.com/patents?id=wngjAAAAEBAJ&pg=P...
I have recently read E. T. Warbrooke's book Building Stirling 1 that suggested that single piston hot air engines have been around for decades. Can anyone shed some light on this or point me in a direction I could find more info?

3 AnswersEngineering9 years agoIf your website and youtube videos get enough traffic do you get better adsense customer service?
I have a youtube video that has broken no copyright laws and I had advertisements on the video for a year and then youtube removed the ads. I have explained to youtube that the video had only public domain content and they put ads back on the video but then after a couple weeks the ads are gone and I don't even have the option to monetize the video and there is nothing in my Copyright Notices section of youtube that says there is a problem.
So, that being said, I wonder if I would ever be able to talk to an adsense person who could reinstate the ads? I'd be happy to just have an email conversation with someone. You think if I was making thousands of dollars a year or 10's of thousands of dollars I'd be able to email someone with my issues?
2 AnswersSearch Engine Optimization9 years agoWhose fault is this car accident I was just in?
Just 30 minutes ago I was leaving the Pizza place. My car was parked on the street. I was just a few feet away from a bank's parking lot and I started to move forward a few inches when an SUV pulled in front of me on it's way into the banks parking lot. I slammed on my breaks and then as the SUV was turning sharper it hit the front side of my car and left a 2 foot mark on that same SUV. I wasn't moving during the moment of impact. Who's fault is this accident?
