I will be taking a bus between Puebla and Cancun next month and have a few questions.

Are there more than one bus depot in Puebla? I believe we will be staying near the zocalo, so need to find a good depot close to there.

It is a 21 hour trip. Do you know about any stops? How long do we get to stop at different cities along the way? Or is it mostly driving all the way?

We were thinking about breaking up the trip into two days. Any recommendations for a city along the way you would suggest we get off and spend the night? Specific hotel recommendations?

We are doing this to add some adventure and to see more of the country; not afraid to try new things and speak a little spanish.

I am not a huge fan of the pre-packaged shore excursions, and would like to find something to do that would help us discover something about the "real" Mexico. Any suggestions? I can go alone, but have a potential group of 30. I understand that there is a zocolo or city square that is interesting... but what else?
