  • Corn snake escaped! HELP?

Yesterday night my year old corn escaped. We have no idea how as everything was locked up :/ I realised when I went to go and feed him and he wasn't there, I took everything out as he sometimes goes beneath the glass tray at the bottom of his viv but he wasn't there either, nor was he buried in the substrate. I had handled him in the late afternoon so know he got out at night and not before as I made sure he was inside and everything was locked.

Yesterday my mum, sister and I turned the room inside out looking for him with no avail. We even pulled the radiator off the wall! The only way he could have got out is through the door as we have no air vents etc and the window was closed. However we do have a hole in the floor where the pipes go which we reckon he's gone down but we don't know if/where it comes out as there are no other holes around the house.

I set 2 bottle traps in my room last night each with a pinky inside (one by the hole) and placed his viv on the floor with another 2 pinkies inside and the heat mat on. None of them had been touched when I checked this morning. I have also placed water bowels around the room.

I hope he is still in my room as we have cats and dogs everywhere else and I don't want to find him dangling from one of their mouths.

What else can I do in order to increase my chances of catching him? He is a year old and 20'' long. How long will he survive without feeding seeing as I've placed water bowels around for him to drink from and he was fed a week ago?

  • Tip of snakes tail came off?

My male corn snake has trouble shedding the very tip of his tail (5mm ish at most) he is a year old. Usually I just let him crawl around in a damp towel and it loosens enough for me to carefully rub it off with the cloth. However this time the end of his tail came off and there is a tiny red stump but no blood. It has always been flimsy and looked like it would fall off very easily but now it has actually come off i'm just wondering if it will affect him in any way or cause him pain. It only happened about half an hour ago and he just went into his hide like he usually does and didn't seem to notice. I plan to keep an eye on it but any tips about what to do would be helpful :)

  • How to transport a corn snake?

In a few days i'm going to collect a 13 inch corn snake and was wondering the best way to transport him. The journey will be just over an hour. I've heard about using pillow cases with knots in the top or a plastic container with breathing holes and was just wondering which would be better considering he is only small.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Why does my stomach hurt so much?

I'm a 16 year old female and for about a month now my stomach/gut has been really painful. It started out on the right hand side where my appendix is and has now spread to the other side and the middle. I went to the doctors because i thought it could have been an appendicitis but luckily it wasn't but i still don't know whats wrong. I know it's not to do with my period as i've just had it (i'm on the pill) and it still hurts, and it's not constipation because i go and theres no problem apart from yesterday evening when it was really runny but today it's back to normal. I have a good diet with lots of fruit and veg etc and haven't changed anything so i doubt it's linked to that. If anything leans on my stomach hard or if i have sex it hurts alot so i am quite concerned and don't know what to do.

If anyone has any ideas about what it could be or to help with the pain then it'll be a great help :)

  • Help!! Sisters laptop won't start?

She has a Dell Inspiron Srs premium sound and for some reason it won't start today (it was working fine yesterday) When she turns it on it stays on a blank screen for ages and then asks to do a start up repair only everytime she does it nothing gets fixed and she has to do it again. She has been trying this for about 2 and a half hours now and nothing has changed. It's less than a year old and in really good condition with no viruses so has no reason to suddenly not work. Any help with this would be really helpful so please give suggestions :)
