I have some trees from the arbor day foundation that I would like to have planted in my street. This street has been devastated by hurricane Katrina and lost all its trees.

I live in new orleans, in a neighborhood that was hit very hard by Katrina. It is striving to rebuild itself, and has nice houses, but the street is totally bare of trees. It is a working class neighborhood, and I am just hoping to find some way to have some trees in our street, to make our street feel more inviting and less cold, and give it some shade in the very hot summer.

Is it true that the missing mass in the universe has been found? if so wouldn't it have some effect on the missing dark energy?

I learned from TV that space is expanding and galaxies are getting farther and farther away from each other. Yet some are getting also closer and even going to collide! for ex. Andromeda and the Milky Way. So do the galaxies exercise a pull on each other? and what is the form of their trajectories? do they travel in a straight line, in a curve, around what? to where?

In the news they talk about huge amounts of foreign money coming to influence the electorate, they never mention which countries, or which corporations are doing that, why? and who are these corporations or foreign countries?

(our planet in the form of gas, then clumps of matter, finally a planet). The way it looks to me is that the light was probably faster, so how is it that the saying is "the time that it took the light to travel from the big bang to us is so and so" I have trouble envisioning the whole thing. I thought it would be the difference between how fast we travel and how fast the light travels.

how do you find out what kind of results they got, what kind of law suits they have successfully accomplished, what kind of deals they have struck for their clients, etc. or how ethical they are

if someone is depressed and has cancer, but is a strong fighter, and in his nineties, how can one help a little?

I know that the theory of relativity took years of observation, research, etc, to come up with, so, I gather did the quantum mechanics theory, yet the theory of everything seems to be: conclusion first then lets find a way to prove it!

they are trying to find out how particles acquire mass by creating a very fast collision between two protons, right? and that creates a huge explosion much like the big bang, and huge amounts of energy where hopefully the particles will come into contact with the so called Higgs particle field and acquire mass, am I close? I am afraid I forgot all the physics I have been taught in schlool, but the subject is so fascinating

Can mass be produced from energy, is that sort of what they are doing in Cern?

Hard to wrap my mind around those photons, as I understand it they have no mass, no charge, but they exist somehow, have a speed, can be stopped by obstacles, can be divided into different colors, etc. So what are they made of?? I know it is pure energy, but what is pure energy?? and how did they find out their speed?

what propels it to go on forever, such great distances? is it the strength of the explosion that created it, the strength of the magnetic field that it travels, I have been trying to picture that little particle of energy in its travels

if light waves travel through space, and waves are a transfer of energy through a medium from one atom to another, or from one particle to another, then atoms or particles do exist in the space vacuum, is that right?
