I accidentally lead on a guy in my Junior year of high school, how can I make it better a year later?
I’m a gay guy in my senior year of high school. I live in a rural area so there’s very few options in terms of
relationship material. It’s pretty lonely. There is one guy though who i used to be almost friends with like six months before i realized i was gay. I flirted with him last year not expecting anything to come from it, but he reciprocated when i didn’t expect him to. I was always way too flustered in the moment to do anything but blush and turn, and eventually he got tired of it and started avoiding me. At the start of this year he did it once ( I think as a test, ) and i was with friends, and I thought he was mad at me, so i was honestly just embarrassed. It felt like **** to be embarrassed about being gay
at all, and there’s no way he didn’t pick up on it. I’ve started avoiding him too because I can’t stand how awkward it is. We’ve talked a little bit in the cafeteria and stuff, and it’s really passive-aggressive. I think I might have accidentally lead him on last year and I want to know how to make it right. One of the first times someone’s been mad at me and I genuinely think they are in the right. Help.
