  • Should I be worried about carpal tunnel?

I just started working on an assembly line (only seasonally, for a few months, building tractors to be precise) and all my work has to do with my fingers, hands, wirsts, etc. basically, for 10 hours a day...

At home I spend almost all my time at a computer and/or playing guitar..

I'm just wondering if I should worry about it at all, given this is basically my whole day... Given, as implied, that guitar and computer related things are some of my main interests, this is of concern to me, so thanks for any info!

  • Any pop punk-ish bands that are actually musically talented...?

As in bands that aren't just catchy playing the same power chords, relying on a mass following of teenage girls who just like it because it's popular and because it's lyrics makes them go awww.

As in bands that have catchy clean vocals and could also be told to write a solo in G Mixolydian and manage to do it correctly.

Similar to Mayday Parade or the new Lovehatehero, maybe.

I think I was specific enough.

  • Neck pain and stiffness today when I woke up..?

Well, I just woke up today and layed there for a while noticing nothing like this. So when I started to finally get up I made a sudden movement of my neck and felt pain then. Since then my necks been feeling stiff and has some pain.

    More details...

I cannot get my chin to my chest now, not really because of pain either. Just can't really even if I were to attempt to force it to.

It only really hurts from movements towards looking downward. It hurts more if I have my shoulders back upon looking downwards and hurts less if my shoulders are forward.

I can turn my neck to all sides the same amount as normal and back too.

Anyone have an idea on what this is and any way to help it go away faster? Will post additional details if needed.

  • Interesting 500+ year old stories of conquest...?

Anyone know of any interesting historic conquest stories reminiscent of those of Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan? I'm kinda thinking of doing a semi fiction writing for school and was looking for some topics.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Interesting mythology stories...?

Can anyone suggest to me some interesting older mythological stories and such? I've kinda been intrigued by it and such and was hoping for some help to start off. I'd prefer stuff along the lines of Norse, Greek, Roman, and other long ago mythology.

Also, I'd be even more interested in conquests, battles, and epic sized things.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Me and friend cannot connect on XBL?

K, we usually just try to play Call of Duty 4 together but the last week or so we can't seem to connect to each other

In CoD4 we get 'UNable to connect to host.'

We also can't even join each others private chats. It'll say 'Joining' then just disapear.

We both have Moderate NAT usually so that shouldn't be the problem.

    Any help? Thanks.

  • Thinking about learning electric guitar...?

But I currently live an apartment so is that going to be a problem? Like, mainly what I'm asking is, can you keep electric guitar quiet and still be able to learn and hear it youself well?

(The other people living here were probably growing up a few decades before electric guitar. ;o)

  • Any help finding modernish non-screaming metal bands?

It's so hard to find non screaming metal bands sadly... SO I was wondering if anyone here could help me. ;o

Examples of my favorite metal are probably like.. Protest the Hero, Fall of Troy, the Human Abstract, and Dream Theater.

I'm not exactly a fan of power metal either besides Dragonforce.

Examples of bands I don't really like are Between the Buried and Me, As Blood Runs Black, Still Remains, and so on.

    Thanks for any help.
