4 AnswersGovernment9 years agoWhy would the first does of a medication be effective, but not subsequent doses?
This has occurred several times; I had insomnia, so a friend of mine gave me a Lunesta. I fell asleep in 10 minutes and slept through the night. I got a prescription of my own and took it under the same circumstances. It had no effect at all. I tried taking more but it still had no effect.
Vyvance worked once then had no effect despite taking what would be considered a 'dangerous' amount.
The same is true for all Benzodiazepines, Ambien and anti-depressants.
However, narcotic pain meds, Neurontin and aspirin work fine.
Any idea why this happens?
2 AnswersMedicine9 years agoHow to enable Skype "sub-window" while using other apps in full screen mode.?
I used to have a small window, of the person I was chatting with, in the upper right hand corner of my screen while using other apps in full screen mode. I closed it during my last session and now I can't find the setting to bring it back.

4 AnswersOther - Home & Garden9 years agoIn what order should I study mathematics?
I understand I need to learn some math disciplines before I am able to learn others. I need to learn Linear Algebra, basic Calculus, AP level physics in electricity and magnetism, and Differential equations because they are prerequisites for an electronics course I plan on attending 4 months from now Feb 16.
I only understand high school basic algebra. What is the best way to approach this?

1 AnswerDesktops10 years ago2008 Honda Civic intermittent starting problem?
My son-in-law has a 2008 Honda Civic that periodically won't start. He can travel long or short distances, turn off the engine and whether it has had time to cool or is still hot, the engine will crank normally, but will not start.
Prior to this issue the engine was replaced after a radiator leak caused the original one to seize-up. Afterwards, it died while he was driving due to a fuel pump failure. The pump was replaced and he recently sent it to another Honda dealer who inspected the pump and connectors and could not find anything wrong.
Any ideas as to what it might be?
Thanks in advance!

Instead of a bypass, why can't the artery be clamped on either side of the blockage, slit open, cleaned out, and then sewn closed again?
2 AnswersHeart Diseases10 years agoCan events observed through a telescope also be seen by the unaided eye at the same time?
Would an event that occurs in outer space be visible by the unaided eye at the same time it is visible by a telescope? In other words, if you were looking at the sun through a telescope and an event that could be seen with both a telescope and the un-aided eye occurs, would they be observed at the same time despite the lag time due to the Sun’s distance.

The space shuttle only traveled in low Earth orbit. What prevented NASA from putting a LEM in the cargo bay and landing on the moon Apollo style?
