Is it true that the federal government is flying some illigal imigrants to Alaska?
I heard that the government is spreading the people sneaking into the country to all the states in order to dilute the impact on southern states and lessen the backlash so government doesn't have to export them.
8 AnswersOther - Politics & Government7 years agoHow would you rate the governemt at being non-intrusive?
Most people would rate "freedom" as how much the government interfered with or controled their lives. Remember that the average American pays 50% of their income on taxes alone (income, sales, property etc.)
1 AnswerGovernment8 years agoWhat happened to freedom in America?
Are Americans not interested in freedom anymore or do they just don't know what it is?
9 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhy can't I get ahold of credit rating agencies about a bad claim?
I found out by accident that I got a bad charge on my credit history. I tried to contact the three credit agencies Equifax,Experian and TransUnion, but I could only get Equifax to fix the problem, thank you!. The other two seem to put up roadblocks to keep from being contacted about bad reports and fixing them. What can I do to get these outfits to do their jobs?
2 AnswersCredit8 years agoIs it true that the Treasury issues an I.O.U. to the Federal reserve every time they print more money?
I was told that the Federal Reserve is a "government regulated non-government monopoly" that makes money by printing our currency. I saw that part of the federal debt was owed to the Federal Reserve, about $2 trillion. Is this $2 trillion we owe the Federal Reserve phony money? Does the treasury dept really sign an I.O.U. for say $100 billion to the Federal Reserve just so they will print $100 billion in paper money?
4 AnswersGovernment8 years agoWhy are Americans so stupid about freedom?
The greatest freedom a person has is enjoying the fruits of their labor. Yet Americans are obsessed with social issues that are largely irrelevant. For instance: if you have 50% tax rate, you have 50% freedom and 50% servitude., half the time you work for the government and half the time you’re working for yourself. The government has barrowed $16 trillion against our future freedom, and that number is expected to rise to $20 trillion in the next four years (if things improve!). Every trillion equals $3000 debt for every man, woman and child in the country.(today, a family of four’s share of the national debt is about $192,000). The tea party has been vilified for trying to address this problem…why?
17 AnswersPolitics9 years agoIs freedom important to Americans?
Democrats want to provide more benefits and services to the American people, with the commensurate costs/ taxes that go along with them. Conservatives call them infringements on American liberties and violations to the constitution…… The news just reports that the government fails to compromise and so prevents the government from performing properly!! If Americans were informed of the true nature of these compromises….. would they support freedom or security with government control?
6 AnswersPolitics9 years agoAm I missing something?
I answered a question here that had to do with rich vs poor and received all thumbs down.. what am I missing? here it is...
"If by rich you mean pay taxes and poor don’t pay taxes… then all Americans should be scared to death!! Perhaps you have heard that old adage “Democracy is when two wolves and a sheep vote on what’s for lunch”… well, when those that pay no taxes exceed 51% of the voters that is exactly what we will have! What kind of fools will we be to allow those that bear no tax burden deciding who will be elected to decide our governments finances?! Our nation will surely fail!"
6 AnswersPolitics9 years agoHow do we split this country in two?
Washington politics of class warfare has worked so well I don’t see any peaceful resolution to it. Half the people in this country want a nanny/entitlement state and the half want freedom/individual responsibility state. So, I think it’s reasonable to plan a peaceful division of the country so like minded people can live together ( I thought that was the idea of states, but the feds have grabbed so much power though the commerce clause they killed that idea). So, how do we do it?
The US is going to be bankrupt soon. How soon is a matter of what the interest on the debt will be. So, when the government collapses, I think the differences of political ideology warrants the creation of multiple countries out of the ashes of this one. It’s obvious that the original outline of the republic has morphed into a totally different animal then intended. So, I’m suggesting that we peaceably plan a course that would satisfy everyone (as best we can). This country isn’t cutting it anymore.

8 AnswersGovernment9 years agoWhy Income tax insanity?
How did we ever allow ourselves to be forced into assessing an income tax on ourselves according to rules that are indecipherable with outrageous penalties doled out by assessors that are compensated by the number and magnitude of penalties that they can levy on us?
1 AnswerGovernment9 years agoShould we call America socialist?
America has preached freedom above all else for years but has gradually moved to a more “security oriented” government provider. Is it time to drop the pretense and call us what we are? Every election seems more about “what I can have the government provide for you” politicians. Ron Paul seems to be the only holdout and the news media has labeled him a nut case.
2 AnswersGovernment9 years agoShould America change its discription?
http://beta.news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/outr...
Now that Americans are too afraid to get on a plane with a 95 year old woman in a wheel chair.. isn't it time to change the description of ourselves? Proud, Brave and Free just doesn't seem to apply anymore...does it?
4 AnswersGovernment10 years agoCan you imagine what would happen if the average federal tax burden on Republican vs Democrats was published?
Democrats keep saying that the rich need to pay there fair share and stop dumping on the middle class... isn't it time we found out who pays and who doesn't? And who is the middle class now days? I grew up in a middle class home... today, I don't recognize that anywhere.
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government10 years agoWhat will America be like after the crash?
The bi-partisan commission that Obama created by executive order has concluded that we have to make changes NOW or face a financial meltdown of unprecedented scale. The commission has proposed a solution that would give us a way out, Paul Ryan proposed one that is workable but has no cuts in the military (dumb!) and Obama’s plan just won’t work, basically putting off any real cuts for years (too late to matter) because he wants to get re-elected. Bottom line is that the US government reacts to problems instead of preempts them, so, in all likely hood we will experience the full brunt of the disaster before the government does anything constructive. So… how is it going to unfold? How do we prepare ourselves and our families for it?
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWill SNL have a skit on a Democrat debate?
Saturday night live had a skit depicting some of the Republican candidates as total morons during a political debate. It was funny!! Great job!
Will SNL do the same for the Democrats or is making fun of the handicapped in just too poor of taste for them?
9 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow long will it take before the US is a full blown police state?
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Obama-says-understan...
The TSA has taken the security on airlines almost to the "body cavity search" level. My concern is that once we are indoctrinated into these intruding forms of body searches what's going to happen when a terrorist attacks a train? How about a bus or subway? How about any public gathering or sports exhibition?
I believe that the same security tactics that we are allowing for airlines today will have to be applied in response to attacks tomarrow. How can they not be!?
I honestly believe that the 9-11 attack was self curing. meaning that I don't believe that plane passengers will ever allow their plane to be hi-jacked again.... it didn't need government intervention at all! People just would have attacked anyone who ever tried to hi-jack their plane. It's the American way....the way free people deal with problems!
But we Americans have no faith in ourselves and our neighbors anymore and prefer to act like sheep. Well, kiss our freedom good bye!
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhy are foreign agents being allowed in this country to "protect" illegal immigrants?

What the hell is going on in this country? Is the Mexican government so strong that America is afraid of them or is Obama co-operating with foreign governments for the take over of this country?
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIf land rises in response to glaciers melting, how much would that offset the rise in sea level?

Obviously earth is heavier then ice, so... would the rise in sea level be in proportion to the ratio of specific gravity of ice vs stone for the amount of ice melting?
6 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoWhy do Americans believe the Governments “rich man” image of big oil?
Big oil are corporations. Owned by stock holders, many of which are pension plans.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/NY-state-pension-to-...
The reason big oil makes so much profit is because they are huge corporations with millions of share holders and those profits are divided up amongst those millions. But besides that.. over 50% of the Texas economy is based on oil. If the government does bankrupt BP 10’s of thousands of Americans will lose jobs and their retirements will be wiped out.. that the government will have to pick up. If big oil is really the evil empire that this government likes to portray it, what will they call it when China starts buying it up? Good neighbors?
