  • Does any one else miss Ron Paul as much as me?

Every day I watch the news, I read the headlines and everyday we get a little closer to election day. All I hear about is Romney's international vacation, or that Obama is supporting some more entitlements. Not only is it very boring, and unneeded. But it is also very sad. Does anyone else feel the same?

  • Will bad eyesight and astigmatism Dq me from jobs in the military?

I am thinking seriously about joining the military, and was wondering if my bad eyes could hurt my chances. I don't know my exact numbers but they aren't good, and I might even have to get a waiver for my astigmatism. Will these problems disqualify me from a lot of jobs? Specifically combat related jobs such as infantry. Or am I worrying about nothing?

  • Marines or Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal?

So I'm 17 yrs old, and I plan on joining the military. I've always wanted to serve my country. But i need to know, which branch to join. I have good grades, and am physically fit. I want to do something combat related, and I am really interested in explosive ordnance disposal. I've always wanted to join the marines but I would need to attain the rank of e-4 before lat moving into EOD. The army on the other hand allows recruits to join EOD right after joining and even throws in a nice bonus. So I guess my question is should I join the army or marines. If I join the USMC what mos should I try for before EOD? feedback is greatly appreciated.
