Lil Man

All of the sudden this movie crossed my mind, and I can't remember the name of it. And it's bothering the CRAP out of me! This is a movie I saw years ago. I'm not sure how long ago it was released - most likely pre-2000, but maybe not.

Anyways, it's a realistically-animated sci-fi sort of film. It was set in mostly in space. I vaguely remember the main characters: There was a young man, a young woman the young man met later in the movie (i think), and an older man who was friends with the young man, and then enemies with the young man, but reconciles himself at the end of the movie.

The plot goes something like this:

The Earth is unstable, and there is a search for a new home planet. The young man's father had the job of putting all of the DNA of Earth into a single, huge spacecraft (I think either the spacecraft or the new planet is called Earth II - that or I'm getting mixed up with Lost in Space). The father is already dead before the movie starts, and his work has become something of a myth, and the young man spends his time searching for this spacecraft. I don't remember how the young man comes to meet the young woman and the older man, but later on the older man winds up shooting at the young man and woman, and the young man and woman end up stranded on some forgotten, poverty-ridden planet. The young man however, is very handy and manages to repair a spaceship, and fly up to where his father's specimen-filled spacecraft is. They find that the older man is already there. Some shooting goes on. After a while something goes wrong with the ship. The older man decides to help the younger man by putting on a spacesuit and trudging along outside the ship (with a trail of blood floating behind him) to fix it. New planet is found. DNA is spread everywhere. Happy ending.

Sooo... Did anybody get any of that?

After shooting digital forever, I came across about five boxes of expired 35mm film that I would like to shoot, and i have recently become very interested in the lo-fi style of photography. Right now im trying to find some lenses that will give me that look. Not exactly lomo/holga (im just trying to get rid of my 35mm film) but not clinical. I would prefer glass (I'm going for lo-fi, not cheap) So i guess all i'm looking for is a semi-sharp lens with some prominent vignetting, and the expired film would do the rest. Anybody know of some that could go on my Nikon manual SLR? I've already looked at some old Nikon AI lenses, lensbabies, and even the diana f adapter, but I'm not sure if that's what I want (i don't like all of the chromatic aberration from the diana lens). Any thoughts on these, or maybe some other third-party lens?

The sound to my PS3 is being finicky.

When I turn it on, it gives me the orchestral music greeting. However, when I scroll through the menu it won't make the clicking noise, and when I try to play music no sound will come through. When I turn it on a game or movie though, the sound works just fine.

I have already gone through all of the settings to make sure that the scroll noise is checked on and that the sound is going through the right cables.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

All they do is talk about drugs and money and mess up kids lives. Sure its fun to listen to every once in a while when your goofin around. But Still... And hiphop is NOT a way of life.

And most of rock (personally my favorite) now is good. But doesnt it all sound kind of the same after a while. Theres not as many bands that stand out as much as they used to.

Music is the way of letting your feelings flow, straight from your soul. And Some of todays music is just not like that.
