Now since afghanistan has the GDP of 35 billion dollars, and the US has a GDP of 13.84 trillion (400 times as big) we believed the president and his advisors when we were told this would be a slam-bang, 6 month shock-and-awe attack and the troops would be home by spring break.

8 years and 3 trillion dollars later, how has this "war on terror" made your life better?

I'd like to get some feedback on your feelings on prison. Should prison be:

A terrible, frightening place where people would want to avoid out of sheer fear?

or

A place of quiet isolation where one must reflect on what they had done and what they must do in the future?

A place of learning and rehabilitation, where prison labor is used to benefit the community around it as well as teach inmates usable skills for when they get out?

I need to make a strange-shaped part in autodesk inventor pro 11. It's something like a pyramid with the top chopped off at an angle so that the front face is higher than the rear face and the side faces are angled and tapered. The flange tool is ineffective for this as it only extrudes an edge down orthoganally and the Bend tool won't let me line up the edges correctly., only projecting an orthogonal strip that links two sides together.

Can anyone make sense of what I said and help out? It's frustrating because I know it must not be very difficult to do.

I have a strange problem with my screen when in Ubuntu. I have a Toshiba A215 Laptop with an ATI Radeon HD2400 mobile processor and on startup, I get static on my screen. It sort of vibrates and has streaks going through it, as well as distortion like watching an old TV. If I restart X or logout, the problem magically goes away.

I've tried downloading and installing the fglrx drivers, but that only makes the situation worse by making it impossible for my computer to detect what graphics adapter and monitor i'm using, and defaulting to Low graphics mode and 800x600 resolution.

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew of a good repository of good and scary / creepy stories and poems. I'm a big fan of creepypasta but I think I've read just about all of them. I also read the Gift of Mercy and a few others like it, and loved them all. I've done a couple of creepy poetry entries myself but I'm always looking for more. Any recommendations? Marriages are good for the economy, and you can bet Gay marriages would be the most FABULOUS affairs ever. Money goes to catering, limousines, tuxedo rentals, airfare to get relatives and friends into town, decorations, party planners, etc etc.

I'm used to using Pro/ENGINEER and in a sketch, one can easily define any edge or point on a part as a reference in a new sketch. Is there a way to do this in Autodesk Inventor? It seems to have a few limited references, but no way to redefine them or add references.
