So this year I will join the Marines at 27 years old (grandma, I know) as a PFC in June. At the moment I am a poolee and I train with other poolees. We have squad leaders. Long story short my so-called squad leader is an 18 year old with some serious "I got a little power and now I'm going to act like I'm the president of the United States" issues. He talks down constantly (even our Gunny doesn't do that to us except in PT) and expects us almost to call him 'Sir" (wait... what?).

So quick quesion. How do I deal with younger non-rate kids in charge of me? I will be a PFC. It will happen, I'm very much aware.

PLEASE don't just tell me to suck it up or whatever. I know I will see more of this in the fleet and of course I will obey them but I don't want to spend the next whatever years until I get promoted by having some 18 year old baby get his kicks and be constantly disrespected because no one hugged him enough as a child.

I have no idea if such a move exists but . . .

I'm searching for a movie about someone dealing with all their friends leaving them (mostly getting married and forgetting them) and how this person copes/doesn't cope with it. Please no, "they find that magical someone and it's all rainbows." I'm looking for a more realistic film.

I took a short nap today and had a very quick but vivid dream. A few years ago, I had a black emperor scorpion called "Amun". As far as scorpions go, he was awesome. I held him a lot and he never bit me or clawed at me. He died a year ago.

In the dream, for some reason, I decided to get him a female red scorpion and put it in his tank. At first she cuddled him but then lashed out and tried to kill him. I remember gasping in shock in the dream before waking up. I don't know if he died.

Obviously this dream is a metaphor for something . . . but what?

The new ACIII came out last year and as much as I love Native American history, I just can't get into the Revolutionary period storyline. Usually, with an AC game, I can't wait to get home and play but this one . . . I have to force myself through it.

Does anyone else have some nostalgia about ACII? I absolutely love that game! Ezio's story, the Renaissance storyline, the colors, etc. I know it sounds strange, but I'm in a depression and for some reason that game always made me happy. Maybe it was the pretty colors or Ezio's story or the history of those wonderful buildings, but ACIII makes me a little bored.

I'm almost considering replaying ACII. Does anyone else feel negatively about ACII?

I've had my ball python for about a month now and really everything has been going almost perfect. He has never rejected a meal and is always very responsive and docile when I pick him up. In other words, I've been consistently handling and feeding him for a month.

A week ago he shed (I don't know if this has anything to do with this) and has been feed two days ago. Yesterday I handled him - nothing out of the ordinary. However, this evening I moved his rock as always and was about to stroke him before picking him up like I always do and he suddenly moved his head towards me like he was going to strike. I then tried to move his rock back on him and he lunged forward again.

I've not had this problem with him! He's usually VERY docile! I don't understand - he ate, the temperature in his cage is fine, the humidity is fine - nothing has changed!

Why would he be so aggressive all of a sudden?!?!

Please help! I have a final exam and I am going through the review and I don't know how to calculate these two (I have the answer).

I don't remember much from the clip but it is within the past year from a show and apparently somebody gave birth to a zombie baby (WTF?) and then someone else steps on it.

This clips was shown on the Soup and I was wondering what show it was. I'm going through Season 2 of the Walking Dead and I hope it wasn't from that show because I like it and the clip was stupid.

Before you flame me, please read my reasons.

When I was younger I loved both of them and now that I’m older I have no problem with people being obsessed over the lesbian subtext. Yet, after season 3 (I’m currently re-watching and that’s where I am) I find that Gabrielle is starting to get on my nerves.

First, she thinks pacifism is the answer to every problem. There was an episode of Xena where she helped some men hold down the fort against barbarians. If you’re in the middle of a war, you can’t just suddenly switch to pacifism and expect everything will turn out all right. Even at the end of the episode, it is mentioned that the barbarians were retreating briefly and they will attack again. I agree that Xena was becoming a little harsh, sending men to the front if they could walk. Gabrielle on the other hand, doesn’t not even try to understand what war is and still lives in her naïve little world. If there is limited food and men who will most likely die and others that will survive, logic dictates to give the food to the men that will most likely survive. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Second, she thinks that lying behind her friend’s back is alright so long as she’s saving a child . . . born of the devil. When Gabrielle gave birth to Hope, conceived from the evil Dakah, Xena tried to kill the baby. Killing a baby is evil, but when the baby itself is evil, that is what should be done. After all, what ddid you expect the devil to come back as? An ugly demon? Oh, then no one would have a problem killing it would they? But the baby was obviously evil, having strangled someone within an hour of its birth and the fact that it was conceived on Dahak’s altar. Instead of listening to Xena, who is older and wiser, and the fact that Gabrielle knew the baby was conceived when she was on Dahak’s altar, she let her emotions take control of her. Then that child grows up and kills Xena’s son. So basically, it’s not alright to kill a baby, but it’s ok to let the baby grow up and kill others – THEN it’s ok to kill it. Wait, what? The only message I see here, is that Gabrielle, who supposedly loves Xena, would rather protect some spawn of satan and lie to her friend.

Third, Gabrielle assumes her course of action, just because it involves pacisificm, is always the correct one and acts before gathering all her facts. In “The Debt,” Xena begins telling Gabrielle a story of Chin and mentions that she needs to kill someone. Instead of listening to Xena’s reasons or at least, I don’t know, to the END of Xena’s story, Gabrielle betrays Xena by handing her over to the emperor (who Xena was going to kill). I understand that Gabrielle doesn’t like to kill, but she just takes this concept too far. Not every tyrant, murderer or dictator can be reformed through some sappy speech and if you simply lock them up, they will most likely escape with the help of those who are like-minded.

Furthermore, Gabrielle just assumes that what she was doing was “right” just because she doesn’t want Xena to kill ANYONE. I’m sorry, but if someone just stabbed me in the back like that, I would never like them, let alone love them. That’s not love. She should have at least heard Xena’s entire story and reason using logic instead of emotion and then made a decision. If after trying to convince Xena through logic instead of “You can’t kill, waaaa,” then maybe I could understand her doing what she did. Maybe.

Basically, I don’t like her because she is still naïve and doesn’t take the time to listen to all the facts before making another teary-eyed speech about how no one should kill. Everyone in the show claims that Gabrielle is kind and loving, especially towards Xena, but I don’t see it anymore. She seems to care more about propagating her pacifism rather than anything else.

I hope this wasn’t too much of a rant, I’m just really tired of seeing no one actually discussing Xena. All the questions are “OMG are they a couple?” or “OMG where do they kiss?” or “OMG lesbians!” and I’m tired of it. I’m just wondering if there is ANYONE out there who actually agrees with me and can put aside their lesbian-loving tinted brain to answer this question without flaming me.

The QUESTION: Does anyone else agree?

In the multiplayer after level 50 you get a yellow star and some people have numbers in their star up to leVel 12 (as far as I've seen) and I was wondering what those numbers signify?

I've been playing Assassin's Creed Revelations on my boyfriend's PS3 under my PSN name. Then I go home and I log in. All my abilities are there and so is my level but all those points I used to customize my characters did not transfer!! Why? How can I fix this? I literally spent hours getting these stupid points to customize my characters and now it's like that never happened.

Also, why do I always have to remake the ability sets evertime I move from someone else's PS3 to my own? Isn't this all saved online?? Thank you!

I'm 22, 5 foot 3.5 inches and I weight 150 pounds.

I exercise 5 times a week, and EACH time I exercise away 600 calories. I also work out with weights those 5 times from 8-20 minutes. Also, I consume 1600-1800 calories a day.

I took 6 months to lose 15 pounds and I ate 1500 calories and exercised 5 times a week at 300 calories at a time. However, I have been doing the 600 calorie a day thing for the past month and a half and have not lost a SINGLE POUND.

I eat well, grilled chicken and salads mostly with special K cereal in the morning.

Please help! I'm very frustrated and upset!

Yesterday I had a really odd dream.

I don't remember much but in the dream my brother died. This was really weird because in real life . . . I don't have a brother. And then something happened like in the video game, Prince of Persia. In that game, the Prince has a sword that magically reverses his life. So in my dream I saw how my brother was going to die and suddenly someone pressed a big rewind button. Then the rest of the day with my brother, I did everything he wanted to do and when I wasn't enjoying being with him, I was crying my eyes out.

When I woke up, my head was sore (like I get when I've actually been crying).

So I was wondering - why do I have a "brother" in my dream? Why is his death so real and painful to me if I don't EVEN have ANY sisters or brothers in real life? And why the weird rewind?

I have cooked chocolate truffles before and for some reason they will solidify but they will not completely freeze so that I can shape them into little truffles.

Why will they not freeze completely? They have been in my freezer for two DAYS on the COLDEST setting.

I've had two similar dreams about my boyfriends friends. I know one very well, K, and we are "cool". The other one, Z, is cool but I don't know him that well and have only met him twice.

Dream 1:

I dreamt that Z died (don't remember how) and I went to the hospital to check on him and the doctor was joking that he died.

Then he was in the room for all patience that liked electronics (both him and my boyfriend are in the College of Technology) and I saw that he was alive and well and we hugged and I cried because I was so happy that he was alive (I was also for some reason afraid that if he died it would be my fault and my boyfriend would be mad at me.

Dream 2:

I dreamt I was in K's car and he crashed and died.

Later I went over to his house and hung out with him and his girlfriend and it hit me that he wasn't dead and I was really happy.

Side note: My boyfriend and I have no problems and I have no problems with his friends.

Long story short, my ex-best friend, D, and I were friends for a few years and then she started betraying me behind my back. I did many things for her that she took for granted and we haven't talked to each other in 2 years after I cut off all contact.

She even went so far as to invite me to visit her in Greece and then her cousin and her left me on a beach after they thought I was at a Restaurant but I said I was at a REST STOP waiting for them!!

Anyway, in my dream last night I told her what I thought of her and she ignored me and did not listen. I got on a bike and drove away from her but she was following me because she wanted to say rude things to me.

Being the coward she is in real life (she can never fight her own battles), she got her mom to yell at me and I told her mom what kind of daugher D is and her mom said, "I don't speak english" so then I rode away and woke up.

What does this mean? PLEASE nothing from DREAM DICTIONARY!!! That thing is NOT helpful! I can look that up myself!

It's not in a dream, I wish it were so that I can interpret it.

But a friend gave me a necklace with him, my father (whom I detest) gave me a brooch with him, I saw him in one of my male friends house on a shower curtain and on the fridge of a female friend's house.

Could this mean anything?
