If I need 2000 feet of rope and I have 8 foot sections, 6 foot sections, and 4 foot sections, what formula do I need to calculate how many 8' sections, how many 6' sections, and how many 4' sections I need to get to zero. (assuming I have a custom field for shorter than 4 foot but not longer than 2')

I have a spread sheet which the rows are quote numbers and amounts and columns are discount structures (10%, 20%, 25%). In the intersecting cells there is a "x" that tells what the discount structure is for each quote. It is set up now that charts a count of each column by number of "x" in each cell in that column so that I know how many quotes are 10% or 20%.

What I'm needing to to set something up that I can put criteria in and it returns a count based on that criteria, such as I want to know all the quotes over $20,000 that have a 10% discount, 20% discount, 25% discount. So in my mind it would have to search the column of quote amounts to find the quotes that are over $20,000 then do a count of "x"'s in each of the other columns that show the discount structure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a monthly sales goal and need to figure a daily sales goal on remaining days based on the amount of sales I received the day before. For instance I have a monthly sales goal of $200,000 and have 20 days in the month to reach that goal. My original daily balance would be $10,000. I need a formula that will calculate the remaining daily balance when the daily sales change. For instance if I received $8,000 the first day, what would my daily balance be for the rest of the days, and then the next day I received $15,000, then what would my daily balance be for the remaining days. I need to show each day with what was sold and what has to be sold each day to get to the monthly sales goal. Any help?

I have a TV that connects up to the internet, and a satelite receiver that also connects to the interent. I thought I could find a two port switch or cat 5 splitter, but can't seem to find anything that isn't over $30. Does anyone know of an inexpensive way to do this?
