Spiffy

For my Sociology/Anthropology/Psychology seminar I chose the topic of Mental Institutions. I want to focus on, or at least incorporate, the inhumane treatments of the past (1600s-1950s). But what is a good thesis statement?

Is there any important information (little tidbits of knowledge) or facts I should know about? I'm doing my Ancient History project on it, and I don't exactly know where to go from 'why the empire fell'.

Anything on the Germanic Barbarians would be helpful, as well, since that is going to be a main focus. Also, any persuasive essay thesis ideas on this topic? Thanks!

It's annoying to have to let it focus and I often miss things when I'm trying to shoot. It's not on macro, and it's an Olympus Stylus Tough camera. If anyone has any idea how to make it take pictures right away, it would be very helpful. Thank you.

Do you know of any books relating to doctors from this time and earlier (all the way back to even 1500) who carried out crazy experiments? Even names of doctors is helpful. If you need help understanding what I'm looking for, the doctor in The Haunting in Connecticut is similar to the idea. Thanks!

There's this guy at my school who doesn't change his clothes regularly. He apparently likes me, and I think I could possibly like him if he could be a little more hygienic. Anyways, I sent him a message on Honesty Box on Facebook, anonymously, but is there a nice way of doing it, or just secretly?
