Tanya
Hey there! I love labs and have an 10 month old one right now. Would love to share all my knowledge about dogs with you'll :)
Do I have to freeze the chicken before serving it to my 15 month old labrador?
Can I not feed it straight from the butcher? After washing it thoroughly of course?
3 AnswersDogs9 years agoWhere did you get your puppy from?
I know getting puppies from shops, websites like Puppyfind.com, Nexdaypets.com etc is really bad and I would never think of ever getting my dogs from there. But just curious to know
1. where did you get your puppy from? Please specify the breeder if you can, or if a website, self bred etc.
2. is he/she healthy?
3. Breed
4. Age
5. A picture if you like!
13 AnswersDogs9 years agoAre they supposed to inject a dog's butt? And also, a question about the Corona Virus vaccine?
Okay, so my labrador has a corona virus vaccine due on the 21st but when I was working with the vet, I remember him saying that CV vaccines aren't really necessary but people insist on getting them done so is there really any use in getting it done? Can it have more negative than positive effects?
Also, is it bad to inject a dog's butt?

He's the one the the tail pointing in the air.
He's a 14 month old labrador retriever. His weight is 65 lbs. I'm worried he looks too thin.
Do you think so?

It's a capsule meant for humans. 1000 mg per capsule with 180 mg of EPA and 220 mg of DHA per 2 capsules. How much should Rio get? 1 or 2 capsules per day?

6 AnswersDogs9 years agoSwollen testicles. Appeared yesterday and disappeared today?
My 1 year old lab pup had very red and swollen testicles yesterday. We applied Betnovate. Today it looks okay. Should we keep him off grass and water? Vet said its an allergy and gave medications but today he's fine and we had made plans to go to the park, should we cancel it? Has it ever happened to you?
2 AnswersDogs9 years agoHow often should we clean our lab's ears?
My lab's ears are never really dirty. Just a little wax which I believe is healthy. Still, how often should we flush them ear cleaning solution and apply for them to be healthy?
3 AnswersDogs9 years agoMy dog ate an ant hill. What to do?
It wasn't really full of ants. Lot's of dust particles, and a few ants. He isn't eating properly since. And is a little whiny. He's a lab, one year old. He's gotten through eating a sock and vomiting when he was just a few months old so I wasn't too worried. But his not eating is troubling me a bit. He is getting a little finicky with his food these days anyway, though.
3 AnswersDogs9 years agoHow many dogs do you have, what breed and age? And what are their names?

3 AnswersDogs9 years agoDoes fur grow back as fast as it sheds?
I know it sheds because new hair is coming out but does it grow long enough that fast? My lab is constantly shedding like mad but the quantity and length of the fur on his body remains the same.
4 AnswersDogs9 years agoTrimming my labs nails?
Okay I have an 11 month old labrador, he's almost a year actually. I've heard about labs who's nails grow like mad and people trim them weekly or every two weeks. My labs nails always remain the perfect length. The vet cut them last in January or Feb I think and they've remained a good, short length. His dew claws grow which I trim every 2 weeks but other than that they never really grow much. People complain so much about long nails on their labs. Why is this so? My floor is marble so is that naturally filing my labs nails?
3 AnswersDogs9 years agoWhy are you'll against breeding pets?
Don't take me for an idiot. I am too. I have a debate in my school, hence the question. My friend thinks all dogs have a right to have pups and she wants to breed her labrador which I'm against because of the amount of dogs dying in shelters. She says it's wrong for it to be right for only registered breeders to breed. I ran out of argument at one point. Please gimme your take on this.
10 AnswersDogs9 years agoMy dog doesn't want to eat!?
I have a ten month old lab who just isn't interested in his food anymore. He doesn't even like drinking water. Whyyy?

8 AnswersDogs9 years agoWill my 10 month old labrador like the kiddie pool?
Okay so we don't have a pool in our house and all the kid's are grown up so we gave away or kiddie pools to charity. Little did we know that Rio would be joining our family months after giving away the pool. So we plan on buying a kiddie pool for him. Problem is the max height available is 15-18". Will he be able to swim in that much? Do your labs swim in kiddie pools? It's gotten rather hot here so we decided its a good idea.
