So my parents and I have an agreement; I put my laptop and phone on my kitchen counter before 9 and I'm asleep before 10. (Im 14 and in 8th grade) So the other night I was studying for a test the next day so I kept my laptop and studied until my mom came down at 10 o'clock. she told my dad that my laptop and phone were not on my kitchen counter. He grounded me for the weekend. Is this fair for someone my age and how do you suggest I go about getting myself ungrounded. Thanks

My parents are very controlling and dictate all aspects of my life. Like Today I was sick from school and my mom came in my room and took my laptop and phone. I asked to get them back later to have them for studying tonight and school tomorrow but my parents said I was grounded for being sick. I'm not allowed to do anything over the weekend and I do not get my laptop and phone back until I tell them my passwords. The last time I did that they read all my texts, went through my snapchat and twitter, and looked through all my photos. I do not want that again. I tried talking to them about it but they wouldn't listen. I also play games like call of duty on my laptop and even though its violent all my friends play it. My parents say its too violent even though I'm 15 and they also make me go to bed at 9:30. I know I'm only 15 but all my friends parents let them decide how to manage their lives and I would like it to be the same way with me. I would like advice on how to get my parents to give me my phone and laptop back and let us go through them together instead of them looking though them alone, how to get them to let me stay up later, and how to make them a little less strict about all aspects of my life.
