Think for Myself
A little bit of college, years in business, married with kids and lots of traveling...
In your opinion, what is the most egregious and/or lame apology ever given, and who gave it?
Please note the author, and quote him or her.
Here is one of mine...
"Indeed, I did have a relationship with Monica Lewinsky that was not appropriate. In fact it was wrong. It constituted a critical lack in judgment and a personal failure on my part, for which I am solely and completely responsible ... I misled people, including even my wife. I deeply regret that.''
-- President Bill Clinton, Aug. 17, 1998
Here are a couple of sites but I am sure you can think of one of your own.
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoKarl Rove predicted that McCain and Clinton will be the nominations for president, what do you think?
He said that he thought even though Obama had a lot of momentum, that his best states were behind him. IE: Caucuses and states with a larger black vote. He showed the math for the Republicans, and Huckabee would need 60+% of the votes in the states left and thought that we nearly impossible. Romney wouold have need 83%.
It was a very logical discussion, not impassioned. I simply want to know what you think of the match up, who might be VP picks for both, and a winner.

It was posed by another YA person, and I was intrigued as to how the Rep's and Dem's would hold up with a field that is obvioulsy overlapping their 2 party bases. Who would be the winner?
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoDid Houdini ever have a failed escape?
It's reported that he was able to escape from every confinement, from straight-jackets to iron shackles. None could hold him. But there was one time when he failed to free himself from a prison cell. He entered the cell wearing only his street clothes, and the cell door was shut behind him. Once alone, he pulled a piece of metal from his belt and began working the lock. But something was wrong. No matter how hard Houdini worked, he couldn't unlock the door. For two hours he applied all his skill and expertise to the lock, but failed again and again. Two hours later he gave up in total frustration.*
Why couldn't he unlock the door? Because the door wasn't locked!
