  • Am i able to sue the NHS due to medical negligence on 4 occasions?

Hi everyone, my grandmother is currently in hospital in South Wales, UK, she has been there for the past 5 weeks. She was originally admitted due to a change of medication she was changed from Warfrin to Dabygatron my grandmother had a reaction to this, 3 weeks after being admitted, my mother an NHS nurse went to see my gran and realized she had a chest infection this was denied by the doctors yet they still sent of mucus samples. Yesterday my mother and I were told by the nurses and doctors that my grandmother did indeed have a chest infection (negligence #1). Today I went to see my grandmother with my mother again only to notice on her notes the abbreviation HAP came up, I of course did not have a clue what this was however my mother thought the P stood for pneumonia so we asked one of the doctors and they told us my grandmother has now been diagnosed with Hospital Acquired Pneumonia suffice to say I was extremely angry and so was my mother! Now here’s my question after 5 weeks of being in hospital after numerous ****-ups with medication etc I am here to see as to whether I can sue, these NHS staff most of whom are excellent but the ones that are not have now shortened my grandmothers life span and I want to sue them for this!!!!

So here is my question:- Am I able to sue the NHS for 3-4 ****-ups all of which can be proven on meds charts and notes my grandmother has now been diagnosed with HAP and is getting worse?
