MONEY ON MY MIND

I'm looking to invest in SFH or 2-4 unit flats in the Chicago area. I would like to preferably begin on the south side. Anybody have any good insight on best neighborhoods to start? Beverly, Mt. Greenwood, Morgan Park, Ashburn, Evergreen Park?

i live in the southwest suburbs and am looking to move closer to the city to get to school downtown at depaul... would like to purchase an investment property to live in and fix up.. it will be my first... so nothing too big of a project... looking to spend minimal amount as i mentioned this is my first investment in real estate...also very important ... neighborhood needs to be safe and up and coming area as i plan to resale in a few years and must must must be safe i have two young children ... any suggestions... serious answers only please.

I am deciding if I should go for my MBA immediately following my bachelor's .. I am majoring in economics with a minor in real estate.. i just wanted to leave myself a broad base of opportunity and if so, which university? I am looking for an executive position at least eventually after exp. when I graduate for a major corporation I would like to help in the process of expanding and developing relations and growth within business through investments i dont know what this position would be called though..I am an army vet ... so i have worked just not using my degree if that helps at all... oh yeah.. i will be gettin bachelor's from depaul but they have a dual program where i can get mba at same time.. or should i just wait and enroll in northwestern ... because of the prestige? and networking? and reputation? these are really the only two I am considering now unless Univ. of Chicago would be a better choice... Oh one more thing and with this major and I believe some programs allow you to get more than one which I will more than likely do..what would match up well with this major and minor if so? and with these majors and minors what type of positions would I most likely be eligible for? So I can look up some job descriptions..

I got into some trouble when i was 15 as a juvenile, I was adjudicated on two felonies but trust me they were petty crimes i just didnt have the money to fight the case and have it reduced. I need a clearance for a govt contractor. As an adult I have a couple arrests but the charges were dropped and dismissed. I have served in the United States Army getting a honorable discharge and been off to college on my way to a BA degree in business. im 25 now and the juvie stuff happened over 9 years ago almost 10 to be exact... the dismissed arrests were about 2 years ago... but the were dismissed... I need a clearance can anyone help??? what are my chances?? basically i havent been in trouble since the trouble as a kid and have went on to change my life around.. am i eligible?? I have told the truth on my application about everything... because i feel honesty will take me further in life... thanks for the help guys and girls alike...!!!!!

will be investing in real estate and need alot of cash... i hear they make good money but can anyone give me a realistic amount that can be made in my first and upcoming year?? i have worked 12 hr days for over a year twice... once in iraq and once in kuwait.. once as a soldier once as a contractor for a private company... also are my chances good of being promoted quick... i work hard and learn fast...will i have anytime to further my education either by taking a class or two on campus at a community college ?? or online??
