  • How does a week in Tokyo cost?

So far I worked the flight and hotel cost to be £1,732 per person, so how much would it cost to go out to a restaurant then a bar? Not bragging, just putting my info out, but I came into a bit of money and I can spend as much as my heart wants to, but I'm just wondering what a decent week in Tokyo would cost. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar, so me and my boyfriend wouldn't eat out every night, but hopefully the answers have first hand experience with living and or being a tourist in Tokyo, so how much in yen did you have as spending money?

  • Is there any incidences of the "rapex" device being 'used'?

Incase you don't know the name, but you've probably seen it on online. It's basically a female condom and the inside is lined with angled teeth. So if forced penetration took place the rapist would be in a lot of pain and they cannot have the device removed, only surgically. Thus leading to the woman escaping and an arrest can be made. So has there been any news stories about this device preventing a rape?

  • Growing pains in legs for a year, but literally no increase in height?

I'm 18 and 4 months, I'm currently 181 cm, and have been for about a year. But for some reason I have been getting growing pains in my legs (around the knee area mostly) its not a daily thing, it's just something I get from time to time. Is that normal, to get growing pains but to not actually grow?

  • Generally what class of degree do you need to do a masters?

I was watching a tv show, you may of heard of it or seen it if you live in the UK, Fresh meat which is about university students, oh and spoiler alert (maybe) if you haven't seen the last episode one of the characters got a 2:2 in her English degree, which she wasn't happy about. She applied for a masters and got in and made a big deal about getting in as if a 2:2 is bad result and you usually don't get into a masters if you have a 2:2. I know its only a tv show but the elements of the accuracy just feel like they are reliable in some way. So is this true? For English lit degrees at least? Also is this true overall? That it is a requirement to have a 2:1 or a first to do a masters? and that if you have 2:2 its impossible?

  • What if you put a bottle of vodka in the freezer? can you do a shot of 'frozen' vodka?

Basic chemistry tells me that ethanol freezes at -114 c, so it shouldn't freeze right? If so does the vodka become like -18 or whatever temperature the freezer is and does that mean you would get an injury from taking a shot of vodka that has been in a freezer?

  • Does the 'black/white' baby phenomenon born to interracial couples happen to South & Central Americans?

So you know how you sometimes see a new story about twins, one white one black or just a 'white' or 'black' baby born to an interracial couple. The basic explanation is an 1 in a million genetic inheritance thing, and most reports I've seen/read a geneticist says that both couples would have African/European DNA so for e.g a black guy has kids with a white woman and the kid comes out looking completely black then that must mean that the 'white' person has African DNA (even if so distant they didn't know). What my question is does this happen to the people who live in south and central America, because aren't they all mixed with Native American and European (Spanish mostly) from 100's of years ago and maybe some African. So does a child ever come out looking completely Spanish or native or even some other ethnicity that may exist amongst modern day people in south and central America?

  • Can you and how do you make shin ramyun without constantly boiling water?

I recently bought 40 packets of shin ramyum online. I mostly have them at home, I don't bother them with them at work and college, but my brother who is terrible at cooking wanted to be able to have them at work for lunch asked me if they can be made like other instant noodles that we have had before. But the instruction on the shin ramyum say that it needs to be cooked in boiling ('ing' hence the constant heat) for 4 and half minutes (although I only cook mine and my brothers for 3 minutues, we like ours chewy, plus it gets softer in the bowl as we eat) so is there a definite way to cook it without a stove top. So can I pour in boiled water and leave for a certain amount of time, or even microwave?

What happened??

  • How can I add spice to my Asian meals without cooking with them?

I really like Asian food, I make a stir fry at least twice a week. All the authentic recipes I have read or watched on YouTube say that I have to chop the peppers and add it to the oil (with garlic and ginger) before I add my meat. Big problem, seeds or no seeds, my whole family nearly passes out from coughing, I've tried just using even the smallest pepper and still it seems to put some kind of noxious aroma in the air. So how can I add spice to my stir at the last minute of cooking? I tried putting the pepper in at the last minute but I just the occasional bite of spicy, crunchy, lukewarm pepper. Am I doing anything wrong? I'm following all the recipes to a tee.

  • What color of wall would go with my rooms color scheme?

Although there is no picture if you really do know anything about interior design then you should be good at making a picture in your head. So the basic color scheme in my room right now is cookie dough colour wall (a light brown) with beach wood laminate flooring (that may have to stay, depends on my budget) and pretty much all of my furniture is black, so my desk, two bed side tables, my bed and my desk and computer chair. So what color of wall would go good with black furniture and light colored laminate floors?

  • is the 'zero gravity' on the ISS the same as real zero gravity?

So we know that on space station there isn't actually no gravity, it's just in a state or perpetual falling. Would that same weightlessness exist on ISS or any other chamber that allows people to stay alive when there is no gravity?

I vaguely heard something about not all male male couples have penetrative sex, also not every time and sometimes rarely, so is there any statistics on that?

  • How long should you be able to hold your hand in ice water for?

I've heard it's a good measure of ones pain tolerance. I managed to keep my hand in a bowl of ice water for 2 minutes and 37 seconds, is that good or bad? The water was at almost zero degree Celsius.
